That's a nice weather forecast.. just like it was when I was out at the park for Springfest a few days ago. it was a little chilly at night for me so I will bring some warm jackets for the late night jams.

I do hope the park gets some rain this week. It was very dusty for Springfest.

I sure wish we could leave at 10 am and get there in the afternoon. 4-5-6am should be our departure time from NC.

I just google mapped it. Not as far as I thought. Only 7 hours 15 minutes from Gastonia NC
to Live OAk. That doesnt sound right but that is what Google says.

Oh there is no question we will be shut down at least once over the weekend...

I imagine I'll be arriving somewhere between 5PM and 6PM Thursday. Dave, I'd like to pull the RV over on River Road on the way in and drop off my amp so I don't have to wheel it all the way across the campground later. Is that cool with you?

WBD, that's fine to drop off your gear on your way in. As far as a jam schedule, there is none. It's whenever someone pokes and prods us enough to get us or whoever wants to play to get up there and do it. Flexibility is the key word. I do intend to accomodate Devon and his crew when they show up, since they will only be there on Friday. They are in ATL on Saturday. The one thing to remember during the festival is...there are bands I and others will want to go watch and listen to. Whatever jams we do need to be done between shows on the Peach Stage. And then after the ABB's set, we'll be wide open...until park security comes and pulls the plug or the rooster starts crowing.

I heard Honeytribe and Tony Tyler will be playing somewhere Friday night so they will not be arriving to Wanee til Saturday. Then they are off to play a fest in Atlanta on Sunday....

Cool, I'll seeya on the way into the park then. Roger that on the schedules, I'm anticipating being available for jam all of Thursday evening/night/Friday AM and then Friday & Saturday nights after ABB. Daytime for listening to the pro's.
Don't worry. There will be plenty of jammin' at RRC!!

Wow, the list of musicians for this alone is rather impressive. After seeing videos of a lot of you guys playing and discussing music I really hope I get there in time thursday to see this, and hopefully the other times throughout the weekend. I think I'm bringing my guitar and little amp, but I've only been playing for a few months, so I'll leave the performing part to everyone else.

I think since there aren't any bands scheduled for Thursday, we'll be doing a fair amount of jammin' at RRC. But last year on Thursday, security came and told us to wrap it up at 12:30AM, so historically, that's what we have to look forward to.

BDOB, I been there every year and both years on Thurs. nite they have a killer local band that plays inside at the restaraunt stage which is really a big stage and they have about 100 or 200 seats. These guys are top shelf, really good. If you have not seen them ...you should. I'll be damned if I can remember their name ...too much fun ....I guess.

Wasn't last year The Josh Kirkland Band? I met Josh a few years back and have stayed in touch via the net. He's a great Texas style Strat slinger. I missed him last year, but if he's there this year, I will definately try to stop in and check him out again.

Big Dave, I will be getting in Thursday afternoon from Bammy. I want to drop off my drums at the RRC before I figure out where I will be parking my van for the weekend. If ya wanna PM me your cell number that would be cool. Then I could call ya when I get in and drop off my stuff before heading to Helen's Hilton. I am supposed to contact her also when I get there so she can guide me in.

I am really stoked about the campground jams after seeing the vids and pics from the Beacon after- partys. I am gigging this weekend with Brent and the Skydogs and it should be a great warm-up for Wanee.

Later gator, Drummy
