Awesome band!!! One of the guy's who played with them is now in Playin' Dead and he is a total tribute to Bob Weir bigtime! Both bands are fabulous!!!

Hey allmanfanfromsweden. I sent you a PM about them six months ago. I told you how good they were and that they would be playing in Amsterdam. They just finished playing there on 3/18. 3/19, and 3/20. You never bothered to respond back to me. Oh well, I'm glad you are finally getting on the bus. They are a fun band for sure.

Unless it bothers you that DSO is a cover band making money playing Dead stuff, I would say go check them out. You will be floored. Not only do they cover full Dead shows, revealing the date at the end of the show, they modify their gear to the era they are playing. This band is no joke!

i feel them, totally. one of the best dead cover things going on out there.

they do tour overseas, go see them if you can.

it is said often that a lot of times its spooky because they can be a bit better than the dead in a few ways......

another GREAT dead tribute band is Splintered Sunlight, but they are regional....still effen awesome though.

I see them every chance I get. I saw them recently in Asheville, NC on 2/8 & 2/9 and in Hotlanta on 2/22. They truly "recreate the Grateful Dead experience." Marvelous !!!

For me personally, I have only seen them once and that will probably be it for me. They are great musicians and their concerts are a neat way for people who have never been to a Grateful Dead concert to experience something like it. I just cannot see paying $20 or more to see a cover band which is what they are at their core.....a very talented cover band but a cover band nonetheless. However, one of my closest friends has recorded their concerts before with Betty Cantor, who recorded many of the best Grateful Dead concerts ("Betty boards"), and he swears by their live shows and he has seen his share of GD concerts. My opinion is only as good as yours but I will see a DTB, ABB, Phil and Friends, or Ratdog show instead
