Larry Bud! One of the funniest things I ever saw in my life was like the day or week after Roy Orbison had made an appearance on Dave's show, and Larry Bud did his sincere Roy Orbison impression. <{Roy's trademark dark glasses} It was so perfect, because while watching Roy the week before, I kept thinking, "Anymore Roy's getting to look like Larry Bud!"

Thanks, Calvert.

He was definitely one of the best things that ever happened to Letterman's show. R.I.P.

Did anyone watch Letterman in the last coupe of nights? Did he acknowledge Calvert's passing?

Dave, Adam Sandler was guest-hosting for some reason Tuesday, so I turned my TV off pretty quick when I noticed that. I saw the whole first half of the show last night (Wednesday), and there wasn't a hint that anything had happened to Larry Bud, though he had died Monday. Maybe there was something in the second half of the show, but I turned it off after the guy who invented the beer-catapulting refrigerator (kitchen to couch--no need to get up) and before Jack Blecch.

The next couple of shows are going to be late reruns after NCAA hoops, but then they get back into new shows next Monday. They'll surely have a nice Larry Bud tribute then, if they didn't late in the show last night.

Tune in Monday and I'm sure they will address it. Letterman got sick so at the last minute they asked Sandler, who was scheduled as the guest that night, to host. Last night's show was pretaped on Monday and Thurs/Fri are reruns for bball.

I hope they pay him a fair tribute on Monday then. He was a big part of the show in the 80's.

The last time I ran into him in Brooklyn, he had a photo album with him and we stopped on the street to look at his pictures taken with so many movie stars. He really enjoyed his work and lifestyle
