I recently came across on my TV digital cable subscription on VH1 Classic, some cool old British broadcasts of little 40 minute concerts labelled BBC Crown Jewls. I saw the original ACDC and the '75 version of Skynyrd with Ronnie obviously. Although there are some audio technical issues ( side mics not on for harmoniies), it's still cool to see these bands in the glorious early days.

One of the best shows on cable right now. The AC/DC show was really cool. I've never seen full set with Bon before. Just great footage. There's also a killer Faces show.

You can get the entire 1975 Lynyrd Skynyrd concert from the BBC show "Old Grey Whistle Test" by buying the "Gimme Back My Bullets" Deluxe edition, which includes this bonus DVD of the show. Its excellent. Ronnie by the way dedicates "Freebird" to Duane and Berry, very cool.

TRACK LIST
Double Trouble
Call Me the Breeze
Same Old Blues
Every Mothers Son
Sweet Home Alabama
Freebird

I had pointed out before that during the Lynyrd Skynyrd show on an earlier post. I never noticed that Ronnie was such an orchestrator, putting Allen and Gary in their places. He would tell Allen to go forward, then give Gary a push in the lower back. Also Allen would look back to see if it was ok for him to come back. Ronnie was always looking to see that his players where in the proper places.

Yeah, with "Crown Jewels" I figured it had to be BBC, but I was really hoping this thread might just possibly be about Big Bill Broonzy.

Him, before the Better Business Bureau.
