Hi all,

I'm a new member here and just need some info.

I'm an expat Canadian pilot living in the Middle East and I'm going to be on a New York layover on March 22nd. I REALLY want to see the show at the Beacon that night but evidently I've signed up too late to be given the password for ticketmaster so I can't pre-order tickets. I only really need one for myself but possibly 2 if the guy I'm flying with has any interest in going. I understand tickets go on sale for everybody at Ticketmaster the morning of the show but the problem there is I don't land until about 2:30 that afternoon so I'd miss that opportunity too. Any chance anybody wants to share that code with me and I can take a crack at ticketmaster?

I was a kid when the Filmore East record came out and have been a fan ever since so I'd really love to see them and I think that one night is my only opportunity. Anyway, if someone can help me out I'd be grateful. Just leave me a message I guess.

Thanks,
jim

Jim,
A password won't do you any good now as tickets have been on sale since January 7th. Check the ticketbastard web site and perhaps you'll have some luck. Check back here as often as possible as tickets are being offered on a fairly regular basis. Good luck.

Jack

Thanks Jack. Yeah I figured it would be sold out by now but thought with the code I could at least try to get one online. But I will definitely keep checking back on this forum.

If anybody has one they want to get rid of let me know here eh? My hotel is uptown Manhattan (about 2 blocks from Letterman's theater) and I'll be checking in around 4 to 4:30 on the 22nd; I could meet someone any time after that to pick it up. Just leave a message and I can call you or email you, as you prefer, to tee it up.

(My son asked me to make up a band name for his Guitar Hero game, so I did, and he's like "Dad, what the heck is a Skydog ? heh..

Hope to see you all there!

Keep trying TM, as they keep releasing seats up to show time. If you call TM and get through to an agent, you may be able to pick up a single in the first few rows. The hard part is to get to the human...

That's good advice - trying over the phone that is, although I'm not sure how difficult it would be to call from the Middle East.....

Good luck.

Just go to the Beacon, even without tickets. Go to the ticket window first, as they always have promotors give backs available. If not, you'll spend $125 out front from a scalper, try to get orchestra if you want to be in the action, loge or balcony if you'd rather sit for the show. Good Luck.

I ended up calling a friend in NYC who's got some connections and he's going to find me a ticket for sure! I'm pretty stoked to be going to this. So I'm just sipping my morning coffee here, listening to Live At Ludlow Garage and thought I'd just say a big thanks to everybody who offered tips and advice.

By the way, I did in fact reach a person at ticketmaster (after a ridiculously long hold ) and she was no help at all. All she could tell me was tickets weren't currently available and couldn't even tell me why. I think she was new. But all's well that ends well, so see ya all there!!

Tickets were not available because the show is currently sold out. It actually sold out in January but some tickets were removed and put back on the market.
