I was somewhere between Joy and Ecstasy at this time 36 years ago, from the first show.
I was at this moment in the process of trading up my seats in the balcony on the street getting seats by the stage for the late show. I wound up dead in front of Duane ..It cost me the 4 black beautys I had left, but I don't think I have to tell you how worth it it was.
6 shows...3 nights, every minute.
Chills just ran through me thinking about it again

After the late show we could not sleep..I had to be at work in 4 hrs. I was a cook at that time in my uncles restaurant, so we went uptown early Sunday morning, I made breakfast in the middle of my prep work and we discussed our plan of attack for that night shows..ahhh, the good old days.

Love that pic, Mitzi (and the story that goes with it). LAFE - still one of the greatest live concert recordings these 36 years later.

It was a great show, but could you imagine how great it could have been, if they had Mike Lawler on Keytar???

Can I just say how damn lucky we are that THIRTY-FRICKIN'-SIX years later, there is still an Allman Brothers Band, and we're gonna be seeing them in the same city where that momentous album was recorded, in just one week's time? God Bless the Allman Brothers Band, and everyone who's played in it over the years... THANK YOU FOR KEEPING DUANE'S VISION ALIVE AND GROWING!

I've listened to this album a ? thousand times and still last Saturday afternoon heard a little guitar part that I'd never twigged to before in MJ. Absolutely the best recorded live music ever, AFE sets the bar for ALL live albums.imho...
