Somebody recommend some good east coast summer spots for vacation. I've been doing Duck NC for a few years and am loking for a change up!

Pawleys Island, SC
Arrogantly Shabby and obviously drunk. One fine town with low country charm.

Bethany Beach, Delaware... although it's getting a little crowded. Get ready for the Maryland blue crabs if you go.

You married well. I go to Harwichport every year(fingers crossed because this year might have a roadblock),but Whitecaps games are my favorite.Of course, the 5th inning fog in Chatham is always interesting.

I second Cape Cod....We have a house we rent up there. Its in Harwichport. Hwpt is on the
lower central side of the Cape between Hyannisport and Chatham.

Here is a link to our house if interested.

http://www.weneedavacation.com/Cape/8297.htm

Its only about 3 miles from Brax Landing where No1torunwith inlaw keeps his boat.

If you like to fish. There are plenty of Jetties to fish off of. You can even fish off the bridges
up there. Which the local and state authorities will burn you a new one in NC for fishing off bridges. In the fall you can catch some huge huge stripers. Its always cool or cold. I have been going there all my life and every year its either winter or August. You can take the ferry out to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. I have a connection for a rental on Nantucket but its 25K a week. Little to steep for this southern man.

Dont be talking Bonnatts Bakery and Georges Pizza. They're both a block from our house. Now your making my mouth water.....................If you take the road beside Georges Pizza. Go to the next stop sign. Our house is on the upper left corner at that stop sign. Pleasant and Cross st.

If you're looking for a mellow place to go (not a lot of bars or people), try Duck or Corolla, NC. It's one of my favorite places to go.

I agree with Linnie, I was there last summer w my family anbd some friends and it was great. Beautiful beaches, charming, but unpretensious town, good eats of all varieties, and verrrry kid-friendly.

I'm an Ocean City, NJ, man myself (displaced to Michigan since the mid-70's), but I get back often. I'd have to say anywhere from Cape May to OC is great!
