This type of thread may have popped up before, but I've never seen it. There are bands out there that have broken up and all or most of the key members are still alive and still playing music.

So the question is, which bands would you like to see get back together for either a tour or a new LP (or both)?????
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------
I chose the original DIRE STRAITS quartet of Mark Knophler, David Knophler, Pick Withers and John Ilsley. That original band was incredible but split up too soon. The new players that came on board in the mid 80s were not as good, and probably are the reason why Dire Straits has yet to me nominated for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. The original quartet was great and hopefully they can reunite one day.

Faith No More, without a doubt. One of my all time favorite bands that I never got the chance to see. and, yeah, Rainbow w/ Dio would be nice too.

Similar topic was up a while back. Now that Cream did the unthinkable, I would like to see Buffalo Springfield get together-although Bruce Palmer passed away just recently, so the original line up is now lost.

Granted, the Cream reunion was exactly that: a reunion.

The original Jeff Beck Group are still around, although I doubt they would ever want to play with each other.

This is the kind of topic that makes you realize how many of your favorite bands have dead members.

If you could include members who have passed away....which I know is off topic.....I'd like to hear The Hourglass again.

If we stick with what is possible, I would go with the original line up of Dire Straits also.

The Boston reunion idea is a moot point now.

I'd love the original Doobies, none of the Michael McDonald crap.

Yeah, forget that one, Finsky. Myself, I wouldn't even want to see a band with Rod in it, anyway. Just let him spend the rest of his years cutting those lame CDs of standards.

When's the last time Jeff played with Stanley Clarke? I liked all that stuff.

Bill Wyman back with the Stones as the closest thing to an original reunion that we can get at this point........a reunion of the Revenge-era KISS would make me very happy.......also seconding for the full classic Genesis lineup and Grand Funk Railroad........
