Anyone here like Josh Groban?

I took my wife to go see him lastnight. She just loves this guy. I got the tickets for her for our an anniversary gift. I didnt really know what to expect since I don't listen to him.

Well I must say I was a bit surprised. Josh Groban was very entertaining! Interacted very well with the audience and actually was pretty funny. His voice is just amazing. It is the same as on his cds so no magic involved. He sang so effortlessly. The highlight for me when the violinist Lucia Micarelli took the stage and played this song that sounded familar but couldnt place it. Then realized when the rest of the band and orchestra joined in it was Kashmir!! I couldn't believe it! She even broke a string and didnt miss a beat! She really got into it.

His opening act was Angelique Kidjo I have never heard her before but was really digging the African/Latin sound. From what she was saying she has quite the guest appearence on her next album. Peter Gabriel, Santana, Josh Grobin, Dave Mathews and I forgot who else she said.

His commercial is on TV so much, when I see it I want to put a bullet in my head!

I guess if I saw him in concert, I'd only want to stick a fork in my eye.

My wife digs him too. We actually caught him on a couple of late night talk shows a few months ago, and I think her opinion has changed a bit. We both thought he was pretty terrible. Made me want to stick a fork in my eye "Pitchy" to quote my dog Randy Jackson. He seemed like an American Idol reject to me. Clay Aiken-ish. I don't understand his popularity.
