Music soothes the savage beast. What have you picked up that lifts your spirits lately.

1.Jimmy Nalls "Im Not Stranger :

2. The Subdudes: Behind The Levee

3.Rosanne Cash:Black Cadilac, a beautiful expression for the loss of her dad Johnny Cash.If you ever lost a loved one I highly recommend it. Very healing music

4. Leftover Salmon The Nashville Sessions

And I am sure everyone has this one but if you don't,what the hell are you waiting for

5. Derek Trucks Songlines

I agree Neil, Black Cadillac is quite good.....

also, if you dont have the new Crosby/Nash "highlights" disk i totally recommend it.

oh, and Scrapomatics "Alligator Love Cry" is really damn good....

and for the metal heads, Tools 10,000 Days disk came out in May 2006, but if you dont have it, GET IT.

i was totally surprised when it was not in the top 50 countdown of my local NPR station...they play it often....but i was redeemed when Songlines was in the top 5 of the Program Directors list of that same station.

i firmly belive that 20, 30, 40 and 50 years from now people will look at that album as the masterpiece that it is, and I, for one of many i am sure, am damn proud that we saw it developed!

HORRAY DEREK AND BAND!

WolfHead, for a different approach to the Blues. They must be something else live! Anyone hear them Live, or of them?

if that was january 2006 then I was there... night after the dvd recording... imo, I like it better then the dvd performance... it was a spetacular show... well worth the 4 hour drive each way on a work night

as far as an album I really like lately..

John Mayers Continuum is VERY good...
