Rainy, And it wasn't like she lived in the city which would have been a big enough coincidence. BTW, I'm saving hugs til we finally meet in person. Maybe the ABB will come in the end of July for Red Rocks, and then we could go see Dickey in the mountains also!
2nd Floor-If he can heal, it is a good pick, and it is definately worth the shot-Rod Smith had a hip operation this winter.
I was on earlier, but the site just clogged to the point of not moving, so I am back to finish reading about last night. If I were to go to a lot or most of the Beacon shows, I'd go to opening night, but since I would go to 3 per run, I always picked later on so they would really have jelled. Sounded ok last night, which i'd probably prefer to most live shows, but did not sound like a classic.
Hi and best wishes to everyone else. Hang in there, billy the ferret. linnie, good luck with the new car.
Hope things are better with T&D today.

Thank you everyone for the concern. There are a lot of things that are weighing on my wife's head right now. She is very tired of her job. She has worked for 6 years at Verizon's Center For Disabilities. She is a rep that handles the NY area and she has had people jump from buildings with her on the phone, they were lonely. Other old ladies who call and chew her out. Also her aunt Mary who I mentioned before was diagnosed with bone cancer back in December 2006. Well she had a hysterectomy, a large tumor removed from the left boob and a steel rod put in her left thigh. We have come to the realization she is not coming home, she waited too long to be seen. She is cognitavly challeneged with a brain of a 14 yr old girl. Lastly her sister is pregnant after 3 tries with IVF. They were told it was twins but one looked weak. While her sister and husband where in the Bahama's she bled. She still has a baby boy on the way. So she has a lot on her mind. Again thanks

Hi everyone!

Eric, that sheds a light on what the stressing factors can be. That's tough to go through all that and the emotions as well. Hope the two of you can work through all this. Rainy put it very nicely. Work, work, work!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ready for next weekend people!!!

Good morning good people, its Thursday and another night of Allmanmania!! I was on the train this morning listening to the Brothers and getting the chills just thinking about the show Tuesday night and the shows to come. PEOPLE CAN YOU FEEL IT!!! This is soooo incedible for me and you all just make it that much better!!! Thanks YOU!!!

Eric, thinking about all the stuff you and the Mrs. are going through is more than one person should have to deal with. Marriage is definitely a job in itself, I know, Im 10 years into it, but add kids, family and outside stuff, and you have a mix of incredible stress. Believe me, there were plenty of times I felt like splittin and just didnt. I hung in there and I feel like I was better for it and my marriage got stronger too. Try hanging in there. You might just find out that the Mrs. needs you more now than ever.

Mitzi, when is your job interview? Im thinking it was yesterday and yes, it was a real treat seeing Derek. Btw, NYpeachhead caught Derek and Susan standing behind Butch during the drum solo, maybe she'll be making an appearance sometime during the run, wouldnt that be a treat!!!!

Dad, wooohooooo for the team and cudos for your son!!! That mustve been awsome!!! Enjoy the show tonight, mannnnn I wish I was going!!! I know I'll be saying that every night hehehee

DZ, those shots sounds OUCHIE!!! I have foot/feet problems too but Im scared to go to the doctor because (1) im a chicken !#$#% and (2) I dont want those SHOTSSS!!! Just get better in time for Beaconville, I want to meet you Also, glad things are turning around for the better in your world.

NYC_Barb, sorry work has been so hectic for you right now. Im really looking forward to seeing/meeting you at the Beacon this year!!!

Tyler and Deb, still have you all in my thoughts and prayers!! Miss you both!!!

Rainy, wish you were here during the day, also looking forward to meeting you as well along with Deb, Susea, Mitzi and Linnie and all the other fine sisters in this family!!

Big waves and hugssssssss Jack,Ruthie, Sang,DAF,Ed,UT2F,Matt and anyone else I missed, ya'll have a sweet day!!!

Yes, Rainy, we have heard from Kristen and things are getting better but we are keeping our guard up.

Good Day JHawkers!!!

Tyler - glad to hear that you and Debi have had contact with Kristen and that things are looking better. I'm hoping she realizes what a blessing it is for Skylar to have loving grandparents in her life (and of course, that she get's it together herself). Thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.

Eric - Sounds like your wife is under a lot of pressure right now. She may just need some time to get her head back together. rainy and Eileen have both already done a good job of speaking to the challenge of marriage ... hope you and your family are able to work with each other to find the outcome that is best for all involved. I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

Effie - Congrats on son's game! Sorry to hear he had an injury but he sounds like a real trouper! I can see why you are so proud of your kids! Have fun at the show tonight and watch out for overly drunk and horny hippie chicks! Sounds like you have scored some excellent seats - waiting to hear your review of 2007 #2!

Eileen - PM sent with alternate cell # for NYC get-together. (susea and mitzi - will be sending this info on to you all, too - looking forward to meeting you fine folks!!!)

Beacon bound JHawkers...WHOOOOO HOOOOOO see you in a week!!!

Anybody here going to attend the Crossroads II fest in Chicago on 7/28? Thread elsewhere in AG contains line-up. WOW!!! Definitely going to be attending this one (plus, I've been told that Sang allows tent set-up on his lawn, so no hotel fees... ) Wish tix were going on sale sometime other that 3/31 but oh well...

~waving~ and sending great day wishes to all who cross here!

Hello all

Hope everyone is well

I,myself,am very down right now.My mother had had cancer of the lymphnodes last year and was given a clean bill of health in January.Today she heard back from last week's tests. There is a spot on her lung and she is going to have to start chemo all over again next week.It always sucks, but it seems to suck more that she wasn't a smoker and still got it there

Sorry I'm not very talkative today, but know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob - so sorry to hear this news Keeping you, your mother, and the rest of your family in my prayers and hoping your mom's chemo is successful. I don't think smoking necessarily matters here - a lady I work with, extremely healthy, in her 40's, jogs daily, never smoked (and with 5 boys) just received similar news. Doesn't make sense but often life is like that. Stay strong!

Me neither Sis! i'm not sure if i'm doing the beacon on the 31st (after the HTN Party of course) or Lefty's show. depends on how things shake out.

i'm solo on the 7th though and will be dancing my ass off right up front!

this is great advice. its never an easy choice, ever......i still look back and regret giving up someone who loved the hell out of me, but sometimes love just ain't enough, apparently. Remember that no other person is going to fullfill you, or make you complete, you have to do that....but another person should compliment you and help you to become the best person you can be. at a minimum they should not hinder that effort.

even though i regret my divorce sometimes, all it takes is for me to spend more than an hour with my ex to see why i divorced. its gets easier, then it gets harder, than easier.....

sucks no matter what, though judging by my level of contentment with life right now, i'd venture a guess to say, YES, i'm better off

Howdy do all! Thanks for all the well wishes regarding Jolie and the job interview.
Miss "Betts" is doing just fine now. LOL! Job interview is tomorrow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I would keep my toes crossed, but I need to be able to walk. LOL!

I'm doing well Effie, thanks, enjoy the show tonite.

Very weird Doctors appointment....seems her appt. was last month on the 22nd, which she missed. If it wasn't so sad that she was so upset because they think they think she is stupid because she is old, it would have been funny. It was a comedy of name errors, without boring you with the setails, I was up and down out of my seat to the recptionist 3-4 times as she asked for Mr. O'Neill, which wasn't me but the other Mr. O'Neill who walked in at the same time as me....I guess I'm now gonna be her contact for all doctor's appt from now on.

I hate seeing the elderly getting treated without respect. (We'll all be there someday, peoples, and many of those older than us have been through things like WW1&2, the depresson - stuff I can't imagine having to endure!) Your mom is lucky to have you close by to help out with this stuff, Ed.

Let me read up today and repost with what I find.
