Morning All, if that is in fact what it is...

Had the great pleasure of meeting Eileen and Effie last night. Two of the nicest folks you would ever want to share a drink with or take a walk around the block before the show with.

Oh, and the Brothers were pretty damn good last night. First set was kinda just ok, but the second set kicked in and I would say that it will continue to get biger and better.

Ok, gotta get the kiddies motivated and then come back and lay down a little more.

Have a great day all.

Also met the Peteman last night, another great guy.

Hi Barb, we'll see you at those parties. Can't wait.

Dutch, we got some good folks here that's for sure!

I heard that the first set was OK but the second was slamming! Guess coming out of the gate had some things to be worked out. I am sure the suited preps didn't help either. LOL! I'll bet from Thursday on is kick A$$!!!

mornin all...the pleasure of meeting Ed,EIleen,Pete....was truly mine---really good people--hard to find that these days....as for the show ---a good start--the sound system improved through the nite, but Derek was too soft--couln't hear his mid range & low notes during many songs in the first set--the second set was stronger--Warren was impressive all nite, the influence on Derek(the musical sponge)of Clapton & Doyle was most evident in his more agressive rhythm playing & finger picking & note bending bluesy feel....fairly standard set---the second set started to swing---without that swing, the ABB really can't cook & it was there in the second set....again,agood start--it will build!!!! as for the crowd,disgusting--talked throughout--left,many of them did, at intermission....the little hippie chick in front of me was so drunk that she kept falling & turning around to talk to me,while spilling beer on my boots!!! When she took a leak in her seat that was it--i told her & her horny boyfriend to consumate the relationship in the men's room...they obliged & left...the talkers behind us,we asked them to whisper....they left....got the picture--maybe it was just the upper balcony, but what a pain....a fun nite---very tired...got a basktball playoff game for my younger son tonite & back to beacon on thursday....Gregg sounded GREAT,played the best & most prominent B-3 i've heard in quite some time--he was awesome & he thought we were a "really great bunch".....

Hi everyone, finally got on after trying for 5 hrs. This is going to be tough with the Beacon run but hey that's life. Speaking of life, my wife has asked me to leave by this weekend. My parents are not allowed to see the kids. Trip to Fl to stay with them end of April is done, not going. Sorry to rain in the excitement, just tired of fighting. Later

Hey Everyone!! What a time today with the site here. Ive been getting kicked off every time I try to click into something. Seems like Im sticking now!!

Well I must say that last night was a blast for me. I met a bunch of folks at Yogi's, and by the way, I was lucky enough to be in the company of some fine brothers. I got to meet Effie and Ed, who are just great guys!! It was really a pleasure meeting you fine men

The show for me was incredible!! This was my first show in 10 years, so it was GREAT. The first set did sound like a bit of a warm up, but was still great. The second set really really ROCKED!!! They did an incredible drum solo which knocked my socks off. Greg sounded great as well as Warren, and of course Warren and Derek made their magic. Oteil had some pretty amazing solos also. But the highlight for me was seeing Derek for the first time. This guy is really great!!! OMG!! I cant wait to see them in another week from now, they will surely be blowing the roof off!!

Security was pretty cool. Up in the balcony, they were asking ppl to "put it out", with a smile though. I was with nypeachhead, so we were keeping an eye out for each other while taking turns The seats we had were pretty good, except the light rig was right in the middle of the screen which kinda stunk. The crowd was very corporate. I went downstairs at one point and lots of them were in the hall yapping. The energy was not there. This will definitely be different once we all get there!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

wow mitzi....damn that is something....hope she sleeps it off soon

dad, i've never heard of a woman peeing in her seat. that is disgusting. you will have that at shows though, its sad, people dont know how to regulate. i find its best to drink water at shows (though i will drink beforehand)....i feel better, but i'm a non-stop dancer and would get dehydrated otherwise.

i started crying last night when Wharfy called me right before "end of the line" and was blubbering like a little kid when by the middle of the song. I was soooo happy! i dont know what that was all about, i mean i had just bought my first new car and all a few hours before, but it wasnt like i was THAT happy about it....i think it was just the emotion of what that place, and everyone in it at that time, mean to me.

Can't wait to share the whole experience with you all! those who will not be joining us this time around will be with us in spirit! VIVA LA SPIRIT!

oh, and as for the new car, i couldnt help but think as i drove it off the lot that my grandparents first house in Jersey cost less than this 2007 Ford Focus. It is BS that a new car should cost so much money, they certainly have the manufacturing down pat after 100 years, the parts all can't add up to THAT much.....sheesh. anyway, i'm happy, its the same exact model i had in 2002. I feel SOOOOOOOO relieved, i kept waiting for the other one to break down! pwew.

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY TO ALL!

Wow, Eric, that bites. Hang in there, remember keep the kids on an even keel if you can, they really are the ones who could be damaged. Been there, unfortunately, done that.

Good day JHawkers and ~waves~ to all!!! Things have been pretty crazy for the HTW server today it seems...sounds like I'm not the only one who's been booted or had problems logging on.

Tyler and Debi - thinking of you 2 and your family...hoping things get better there and you are allowed contact with Skylar again.

Eric - I'm sorry to hear this latest news about the home front. Is your wife actually asking you to pack it up and move? I hope for all your sakes that things can be peacefully worked out. And I don't see how your wife can deny you or your parents the right to see your kids so hope this becomes a non-issue. I'm thinking of you, Eric, and sending a prayer your way that this unhappy situation finds it's resolution.

Mitzi - hope Jolie is feeling better today (no more drunken cowboys ). Sure wish I was going to be in NYC on the 23rd to see what goes down at Vaylor's show in the Villiage! Hope we get a full blown Vaylorette review!

Loving the reviews and reports back on last nights show Eileen, Ed, and Effie!!! This is having the effect of getting me more and more excited (will next week ever get here?)
Glad you all enjoyed your show and it's good to hear that the guys are BACK!!! Also nice to hear that the Beacon experience has not been ruined by a change in management!

Effie...one thing I've got to know is what was your seat # for last night's show...want to make sure those surrounding it have been hosed off if I'm anywhere in that section! LOL I had to laugh at your description of the hippie chick (did she REALLY take a leak in her seat??? ) but know what you mean about it being somewhat irrating to have people pour beer over you, etc when all you want to do is enjoy the show - I sometimes wonder if some concert goers even remember their experience (probably not and that might be a blessing for a certain hippie chick )

Ok - all this show talk...I just have to get it off my chest...

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOO

Looking forward to meeting many of you JHawkers next week!!!

Eric, so sorry to hear this once again. Kind of knew this was coming and it stinks but like Deb said there is no way she can keep your parents from seeing the kids. You have rights too. Stay strong and know that your local friends are around for you!

Linnie, whooo hoooo! Sounds great. Nothing like a new car!

Sounds like the music was great last night but the crowd wasn't so great.

Me and NYpeachhead stood most of the night at our seats and no one asked us to sit which was pretty cool. Very few folks were standing.

Hi Tyler ..how ya doing today ?? Hope all is quieting down on the home front... Have you heard from Kristen , yet ?? Prayers are sent your way, darlin'......

Susea sista.. how ya doing ?? Are ya ready... it's getting closer ....

Mitzi...how is Lil' Jolie today...hung WAY over ??? Did you make another appointment yet, at least this time you'll know what to expect...

Eric.... I'm sure your head feels like it's in a vice... It almost sounds like a no win situation.. If you both still love each other...Try like hell to save your marriage and family life... No good to let it all go , because your both stubborn and will regret decisions made in haste..
My thoughts are with you...marriage is very hard work..no easy task... everyone has their side..even the kids... Ask yourself if your better off gone or better to stay ???

Linnie... You got new wheels..... congratulations.... it makes it much easier when doing any kinda of traveling .......not to worry about the condition of the car.. I also have a 6 CD player ..Love It...
Cant wait to seeya at Beacon..Do you have a dancing partner...??? I can't not stand still...

Dad...Oh Man.... that is a terrible visual in my head.... Yeah like lolasdeb said... Please tell what seat #.. Have to avoid that area...

dzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz How's my L.I. buddy doing ? hope your feeling better Don..Is your cell number still the same ?? I want to make sure we see each other...

Smiling Jack, well you know how I feel about you... you will be missed at Beacon... Love the story about Beacon and Niko's and Nicks... that is crazy about running into your cousin... New York City is what..10 ,15 million people... and in walks your cousin...that kinda stuff always blows my mind...

To everyone on JH's thread....Eileen, Sang, Barb, Ruthie,UOT2F,DuaneAllmanFan, Dutch... to all ..hope your having a good time Wed evening..

peace and love
