Tyler and Debi - so sorry to hear about the problems your daughter is having. I know this has got to be driving you nuts. Went through some similar stuff with my step-daughter when she was younger and I was married to her father...things were looking good for her for awhile but last time we got together I sensed she was involved in bad drugs again and have since heard she had relapsed further, was in prison, had given up a child to adoption (a good thing for the child although I don't know why someone in the family could not have stepped up to help out there). I hope that Kristen comes to her senses ... sounds like she's been heading down a series of dead-end streets. And I'm especially hoping that things are safe for Skyler and that no harm comes to her - I know you 2 must be frantic...this is no kind of lifestyle for a child to be subjected to. All of you are in my prayers.

i have found that many child services don't take the time to do that, unfortunatly i guess there are so many other families that want children that they dont look through to the blood ones that far

Have fun tonight Effie! Try the P&G if Yogi's is too much. again, yogis is over rated unless you like scantly clad bartenders in dive bars.

Hey there JHawkers! ~waving~ to all and hoping you all have great weeks!

Dad, Eileen, and Dutch - have fun at tonights show and report back! Looking forward to meeting many of you in about 10 days!!! (Eileen - pm sent with my cell-phone for getting 4/2 pre-party together)

Jack - sounds like St. Patty's day was a rousing success at your place ... that's A LOT of corned beef (but bet your guests were glad for the leftovers ) Am adding your cooking tips to my recipe box.

Bob - what a St.Patty's day you had!!! So glad to hear that nobody was hurt by fires and hoping your daughter is back to her comfort level after everything - had to be scary event for a young one. (oh - and hope nobody comes down with colds after standing out in cold for 2+ hours!!!)

quote:
.. not sure I want to start partying so early in the day
ok, what did you do with the real Deb?
LOL - Sang ... after reviewing that post I'm thinking it was case of temporary possession because that doesn't sound like the Deb I know! (perhaps it was Deb's 'nice' twin Dianna??)

DZ - hoping things come through on the disability hearing...hang in there!

Dutch - glad the body-snatchers have exited your older daughter's body . Seems like they go through the knowing everything in the teen years and then thankfully come to find that mom and/or dad not entirely clueless once they hit their 20's and then it's such a joy to know your children as adults. I'm loving this time in life of us being friends (plus, having grandson is so much fun)

Mitzi - say it isn't so!!! No more Gregg MySpace??? PM sent. Loving all the frenzied activity and new additions amongst the Vaylorettes lately!!! LOL (btw - love the drinking/singing smilies! ) Now - send some of that warm weather up NE, please?

Hi all

Effie,Eileen,and Dutch-Enjoy the show tonight

Linnie,I completely agree with you about Yogi's

Tyler & Debi,continued prayers

Don,hope things are looking up today

Mitzi,a shame about your MySpace

Thanks to all for the concern for my daughter. She is much more herself today.

Well,it's BEACON TIME!!!!Every day I sit and argue with myself if I should head in and go to the show. While I would like to go every night,it's just not feasible,so I go back and forth with myself. How much extra money do I have lying around? What do I have to do tomorrow?I've got 3 shows and most likely will add one more, but it's like a drug.

Hope everyone is well

Niko's across the street is nicer and quieter than Yogi's. Yogi's is a classic dive bar (in my mind). Niko's is greek restaurant with a huge menu.

Thanks-I did get an email from Derek's site with this info. It is great-a natural, and I can't wait. My acupuncturist/chiropactor, Trina, is someone I turned onto the ABB family of music, and she just said at this morning's session that she would love to see them together.

Hey everybody. Thought I'd finally check in today. Jolie had appointments for an MRI and EEG today. Let's just say...the day has been a disaster! For the MRI she was to be sedated. Well...I can't think of the stuff they gave her, it was an oral sedative, but all it did was make her drunk. And I'm gonna tell y'all...she's a mean drunk! LOL! So...I called it and said we'll reschedule. She began to throw up...so I just said to hell with it! And I took her home. We'll have to reschedule the EEG too. Problem is the imaging center where she's having these tests are in Lubbock...which is 110 miles away from where I live. We were trying to get it all done in one day. Not today!! So here I am...exhausted cuz we had to be there at 8:00am. And I've got a drunk child running around. Rainy don't look at this LOL! And I say this lovingly....Little Dickey Betts!

But I did get some encouraging news today! Apparently the job I was interviewed for was not filled...so I have another interview on Friday morning at 9:00am. WOOOHOOO!!!

Just want to thank everybody for the well wishes about the MySpace debacle. Let's just say...it ain't over 'til Big Daddy sings.

I hope everybody is doing well. Lots of love to all y'all. T and Debi...hang in there good people. Still sending love your way!

BEACON IS UPON US!! LET THE GAMES BEGIN! People...can you feel it??

The first year I went to the Beacon we stayed at the Milburn and Niko's was the main place we ate. We ate every breakfast there, and usually one other meal each day. The last day we were sitting in the greenhouse area having our last brunch before heading to the airport ,when Phyllis says to me "Oh my God. Look who just walked in." It was my cousin(or second cousin-my cousin's daughter) and her daughter. They live upstate and work for Cornell Univ. (my cousin and her husband) and she was in the city to take her daughter to a play! Small world. We lived 1900 miles away, and she lived hundreds of miles away and we run into each other at Niko's.
BTW, the 2nd and 3rd year we also fell in love with that other great dive-Little Nick's right up the street, and split time mainly between Niko's and Nick's! Niko's is a nicer place, but Nick's has great pizza and another huge menu. Oteil came in and picked up a pizza one night while we were there after a show.

HEY EVERYBODY
I hope you are all having a good evening.

Mitzii I am not going to say "good luck" because you don't need
luck for your interview. They must have been impressed in your
first interview to be calling you back. Sorry about little Jolie.
It certainly sounds like a trying day. But you handled it with humor.

Tyler, I am thinking about you and I hope you can find some peace.

Hugs to all
