Well.....no. But I was so surprised by his agility for his age. I wonder if he ran track in school.

I should say not! Here's my Vaylorette story about Butchy.

Now this is a true story...except for the parts I've embellished. There I was. Minding my own business in Colorado this past September. Having breakfast at the West Denver Marriott. When, all of a sudden, some gentlemen started filing into the hotel restaurant. Of course y'all know when gentlemen appear I definitely take notice. Well..not really lookin' at their faces ....I was happily overlooking their...ummm....vital statistics. After a few minutes of dreamily over-looking these males, I began to realize that those vital statistics looked very familiar. Especially one of them, whose posterior should have a copyright! It was Butchy-boy! I was prayin' he didn't see me. I grabbed a newspaper from who I thought at the time was a kindly old gentleman (I realized later it was Kirk), and hid behind it. Cuz Lord knows I don't read those things. I knew Butch was in town because...well...ummm....I had an encounter with my Cheez Whiz partner the night before. Needless to say he didn't make it down to breakfast. ANYWAY, I slowly made my way to the door, still hiding behind the paper. Just when I thought I was home-free, he spots me!! Thank goodness, and McMad, my room was on that floor. He jumps up from the table, almost turning it over, and then proceeded to jump over the damned thing. Did he ever run track? It wasn't easy running in stiletto heels, but I did! Y'all would've been proud of me, too. I hate to see a grown man cry. I really do. But I didn't give in...I kept runnin'. I made it to my room, and locked myself in. I didn't come out until I was sure they were at the venue. Whew...that was a close one.

I was at the 2 shows with Little Milton - he was great. Bought 3-4 of his cd's after that.

I was also Sang, and it sure was good-especially the jam with Warren, Susan and Little Milton the 2nd night. Remember when little Milton was playing notes way down on his guitar and Warren got up close and put his ear next to Milton's guitar-a great moment for sure.

Ruth, It sounds like you have a couple of things that need to be taken care of medically, so I wish you the best of luck. I am 59 and have 2 artificial hips and get around better than 10 years ago. Not much experience with your other problem, except to know a lot of woman who went thru it and did fine. I am sure it is nerve wracking, but I believe all will go well and it will make you feel better when you recover. When I had a couple of ops in one year about 5-6 years ago including my second hip replacement (other hip) I called it my 50000 mile tune up year. Good luck, and please talk to us when you are feeling poorly-we understand.
