By now I believe most all of you have at least viewed the diary. You know all about my fight with Psoriatic Arthritis and COPD. We also have other members with conditions. It is not all about a MASH ward though. We treat each other as family. Anyone is welcome. Let me reiterate, anyone is welcome. We also have members that can dispense medical advise, financial advise, and listen to personal problems and lend support. I cannot think of any reason someone couldn't be a participating member. All you have to do is post. We even have our own radio station in Rado 007, administered by Eric. Yes he takes requests. Our goal is to better the lives of website members and anyone we hear about. But most of all it is about the music. Try it I think you will like it. Tyler

Effie, you know this group-someone took the rent money for weed! Now we are all crashing at Tyler's since he now has all this extra room, and is probably missing being crowded.

Since the Peachies are over (and I didn't win for the RR pre-show party), I need to start planning for a great time this year so I've started a Red Rocks thread. Who's in this year?

Depending on when RR is scheduled I may or may not be there. If it's between 8/30 and 9/14 I'll be in Italy, otherwise I'm going to try and make it to this most beautiful of venues.

LOL Dad - but you were right on the money with the Gregg prize quip!

quote:
is there a train??
Yes - I have friends in CO that take the train back and forth between here (Des Moines) and Denver all the time (will go all the way through to east coast). Here is a link to Amtrak:
http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage

quote:
how far by car from NYC???...

Quick MapQuest query indicates Total Est. Distance: 1778.66 miles from NYC to Denver so that would be an approximate mileage guesstimate.

I've never taken the train here, but I am sure there is an amtrak from NYC to Denver. I remember someone's wife took the train last year because of fear of flying, but I don't remember where she came from. As far as driving here, my friend, BIgMike, who I met thru this site, just drove from Philly to here a month ago. He did a kamikaze trip where he just slept for a couple of hours in rest stops and got here in about 30 hours-but he was beat for days after!
If you commit early enough, I can possibly put you up. I am hoping Tyler and Deb come this year also. If there is 'no room at the inn', I can help with things like local transportation etc.

I'm in Jack!!! Wouldn't miss it!! Just so you know, I voted for your party. Not because it was the only one I attended, but because it was FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!

LOL, Dad!! As much as I love Gregg...I'm not so sure I'd want to win him...maybe for a night.

Ok, Don. Fess up 'bout the rent money.

Ok. Here is the story. I didn't have the rent money. Sorry. Saving up for RR. What is this Italy crap, Deb? You go to Italy and we go to RR. Sang had a big library fine for keeping out the book called "History of WWII." That is where he learned about Germany dropping all the bombers on us in the South Seas. I gave him the money for the fine. Had to get a different place.

Not a bad idea about our own awards. Matt I could come up with something more original thanyoungst member. We had post of the year last year which was the tent, Leslie, and oxygen tank by Mitzi. The poster of the year was Eric. How soon you all forget. Maybe you didn't get the memo. That is what happens when you hire your wife as secretary.

The real reason I started up a new diary is so more people would feel comfortable jumping in. When there is 30-40- pages you might think you would get lost in a crowd. And if you thought wow an original thought by Tyler, it wasn't mine, Jack told me that a while ago.

Anyone seen Sang/ Did he get lost again?

Hi Barb.

Sorry Eric, I thought you had it in the bag. T

[Edited on 2/23/2007 by JHawke]

Dad, you are right on the button. I pull up JHawke Diary V and lo and behold there is a show by the Meters. I listened to it. I liked it. I also had no idea who the meters where. But that is Eric. He wants everyone to enjoy music, not just his music, not just y music, but music, the language of life. Does he do it to make himself look good everyday? No. He does it for us, so we feel better for a while. What in the world could be better than that?
