Johnny Winter)---so he's on my 1 month prior music diet----it ain't easy --luckily i heard that show ---i think it's 8 days now of no ABB,MULE,DBB,DTB,ERIC w. any ABB member,past or present,ETC.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------
I saw Leon earlier this year and it was an excellent show. I think his health problems are better. He had a woman co-lead singer and she was fun. They jumped from one song to another for about 2 hours. A rocking good time.

Yipes, Mitzi!! Don't come a knockin????
Hang in there. You and Virgil will get to the Beacon. I know it. You are very resourceful.

Debi (skysnana) - I sent a PM to Rowland a couple of days ago about my lack of functionality (not that it's entirely his fault that I'm dysfunctional!) and he has fixed it. You should drop him a PM. It's much nicer being functional.

Lolasdeb -- Have a good afternoon off and I hope you don't have to shovel too much snow. I'm at work in St. Paul and we are getting some serious snow and wind too but I work at a hospital and we never send people home early. In fact, once you're here you may have to work later because the next shift could be delayed getting in.
What sort of dog is Lola? I have a lhasa apso named Mousse and my whole family is so attached to her. My 20-year-old son doesn't relate well to anyone else in the family other than Moussie and I love listening to him talk to her.

Hi Susea! How are you?

Ruth, sorry about your ferret. I've never had one but they look like they're very fun pets.

Hello to Jack,Tyler, DZ.....waving

I got sick during the night Tuesday night with stomach issues from each end (sorry about tmi), and I was still feeling poorly yesterday. I was not strong enough to get on the computer. I started feeling better last night and got a good night's rest, so I am back to normal. Boy, you miss a day on the diary and a lot goes on. Hi to all.

Hi Mitzi! I've been trying to save money for the Beacon, and Wanee....so i've totally curbed my social activities for awhile and have been staying out of trouble. Fortunatly there is a new theater in South Philly that i've been hanging at that keeps me entertained with live music, (some good, some, well....not so good).....Heck, they even let me perform sometimes! Its a nice creative outlet that doesnt keep me tied to the computer.......

Just a quick check in. Had a half day today, so i got to get out at around 11:20. Kind of proud of myself because some of my friends were doing stupid stuff but I was able to be clear minded and was responsible enough to not doing anything bad.

Matt, you seem like a really nice young man.I may have to look you up when my daughter is old enough to date.

Jack,glad you're feeling better.

Re: pets. many of you know that I have 2 dogs that I walk most days when I am up to it or the weather is not awful, like yesterday when we had another snowstorm. We got about 6 inches, but the 2 month ground cover of snow had finally melted away this past week, so at least it is all there is.
Back to my dogs. My big dog is an 85lb. male airedale terrier (I am biased, but they are the smartest dogs in my book)named Seamus, and he is the 3rd airedale I have owned. All have been large males. When my second had to be put to sleep at 12.5 years (arthritis finally paralyzed him and he could no longer stand) I was recovering from my second hip replacement and things were not going so well. So I thought that was it for me taking care of a dog. But I couldn't stand it and had another dale puppy within 4 weeks. It was the best thing I ever did. He got me out of a depression and because I was forced to take care of him, I started getting stronger (I couldn't seem to overcome the pain of rehab before that), so that by the time he needed to go on longer walks, I was able to do it. So, he is my big baby.
My little baby is a runt westie-14lbs.-named Smilla. We rescued her at 7.5 months and she was the first little dog we ever had. I didn't think I would get attached to her like the dale, but she was my baby girl from the first day! She usually starts off the night sleeping in my arms or cuddled next to my chest. She may move during the night, but always comes back up to my arms in the morning. Very cute!!!!!
RE: losing a beloved pet. My first airedale was named Griffin and he was a very aloof dog. Ignored most people except me and my family and one or two of my friends. I became very attached to him when I first had to quit work due to my medical problems. When he died I could not even say his name for over a year without crying-OK, now you all know what a big crybaby I am now. LOL.
I hope this long post was not too boring, but I am very attached to my dogs.

I completely understand where you're comin' from Jack. (Hope you're feelin' better!!) BTW, your doggies are precious. They were so sweet when I met them at the party. I've always lived with dogs, my entire life. Wouldn't know what life would be like without them. We've had a variety of dogs from St. Bernard to Heinz 57 All American. And they've all been my darlings. Every one of them. It's so painful to lose a pet, so I know where y'all are coming from. I have a poodle/terrier mix right now who is 12 years old. She's still spry as can be, but I know I'll be losing her within the next few years. That's gonna tear my heart out.

Hey now! how's everyone? Gee Mitzi, sorry to hear about your problems with getting to the Beacon. Keep the faith girl, you'll be there! You just have to

Hope everyone's having a great day. I heard from Dan last night, he says Okinawa looks pretty good so far. He had to walk a mile up a hill to get to the pay phone. He's hoping to get one of those cool Japanese cell phones soon. Some of his buddies from boot camp are there and one of his best friends from the neighborhood too.

Sorry about your loss Ruth. We had a ferret, Pinky, who died two years ago. He was a scream, and we still miss that little guy. If we didn't have 2 cats and 2 dogs, I might've gotten another ferret. They are so much fun!

I almost forgot! I stopped at Target on Tuesday and picked up the CD, A Song For My Father. It's pretty good, especially Devon (of course!) Jen Chapin and Sara Lee Guthrie.
There's a thread about it, started by Devon.

Thank all of you for your kind comments for my little sweetheart, Billy The Kid.
He is still hanging on and not in pain. He is eating again and perked up a little bit.
But it is only a matter of time.

A lot of people aren't familiar with ferrets. Ferrets aren't rodents. They are
carnivorous mammals. Always playful, the little critters are in the mustelid
family along with minks, weasels and sea otters. Ferrets have long slender
bodies and weigh from about 1.8 lb to 4.5 lbs.

Domesticated ferrets are not the rare black-footed ferrets of the Great Plains.

Word of caution: Don't ever have a pet ferret in a home with infants or very young children.

I wish I could post a picture but I don't know how yet.

Thank you again. Your kind words mean a lot.

I had mutts growing up and the first 2 dogs after we got married. We got the first airedale about 20 years ago, and so other than the 4 weeks after my 2nd(son of my first) died, I have had full breeds since. I loved my mutts, but they really were not nearly as smart as the full bred dogs. I rank the standard poodles right up with the dales for intelligence-at least the ones I've known.

Hey Eric, I just popped in a CD that was Labeled dTb Berklee Disk two. However, the whole Berklee show was on disc one, and this disk is a Susan Tedeschi show. Im not really familiar with her, so I do not know what the Setlist is. There are 14 tracks on it. Did you include it by mistake or did you plan on sending me this? I just want to know what the date/setlist is, so I can add it to my Ipod

Don't be sorry, please. I appreciate your words of sympathy for Billy.
And now you know what a ferret is.
