I was just setting up plans for opening night at the Beacon since I will be coming from out of town, even though I live in NYC.
I got my House sitter booked for that run on the nights Im going today.

Then it dawned on me what many of you must have to go through to make your trip happen since you are all coming from all over the place.
I never realized till I started coming here past summer how many of you make this trip the way you do.
We are all not young and have responsibilities to jobs, children, what have you.
So, with 30 days to go...who needs to do what, starting when?

I'll be wallowing in the misery of an awful spring training and as a result, cancel all March and April appointments.

I'll be visiting Yogi's on a semi-weekly basis and trying to collect all the Brothers music I can.

Haven't got the tix in my hands yet but have no reason to believe they won't be here soon. Already have the hotel reservation in NYC.

On 3/29 my sis and I will drive over to the Mississippi and pick up another friend then head to Chicago. Flying out of Chicago early AM 3/30 (arriving at LaGuardia around 11:00 I believe) and hope to be checked in or leaving my luggage with the concierge by 2 then heading out for a stroll around the neighborhood (Fairway run, pick up some beverages for the hotel room). After that it's just fun until 7:30 PM Tuesday 4/3 at which time I'll be on a plane with my concert buddies flying back to the midwest and reverse order of events above. Oh yeah - definite extra day off work for recoup and picking up Lola from the doggie hotel!

For me its pretty simple, make sure the calendar is clear for those days, get an early sarat into the city, make sure I have cell phone numbers and check in with friends as I get closer to the day of the show(s).

I'lll be at the 29th show. I work graveyard shift (11:00p - 7:00a). I usually have Sat. & Sun. off. I'm taking 2 days off from work - Thurs. & Fri.. I'll work Wed. night, get off Thursday @ 7:00, get in the minivan, truck on up to NYC (about 250 miles - I live in Northern Virginia), probably catch a few zzzz's at a reststop somewhere, meet my longtime bud somewhere in the city, try to find a parking place, try to find Yogi's, look for a pre-show party, get to the theater, go crazy at the show, limp home to my bud's house in Port Jeff, get up the next day & ready the place for a weekend jam party with old cronies, wail for a couple of days & then limp back home to Virginia on Sunday afternoon. Can't wait!

Well...I'll be flyin' in from West Texas on March 30 and leaving April 1. I still have to get those plane reservations. My hubby has to take days off work, which hasn't been okayed yet. Then, I will need someone to watch the kid for that weekend. I'm still waiting on my show tickets. But at least I have my hotel reservations. Now I just need to figure out how I'm gonna pay for all this.

MetroNorth Railroad, White Plains to Grand Central. Take the 1 train uptown to 72nd street, walk out of the subway and see the movely marquee 2 blocks in front of me. It's such a thing of beauty.

Brief my Acting Battalion Chief who will be working in my place at the
fire station on a few things on March 27th.
Drive from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Wilmington DE
early Thursday morning March 29th and take the Amtrak to NYC.
Take the subway to hotel. Check in and head to Yogi's to say
hello to some folks and let the fun begin from there until
late Sunday night 4/1 when I head back home.
