Well guys, I know you're getting really fed up with my schemes that don't pan out. I think in the future I'll just keep them to myself until they are complete. I did my level best but due to the new management at the Beacon taking until late December to finally come to terms with us on this year's run (we have had our agreements done by September for years now) I just did not have the time to do everything I needed to do for the web cast. I really thought I had it done but at the last minute one of the major investors got cold feet about how fast we were moving and made it impossible to put together the financing. Everyone says "we'll do it next year". I am certain of that. My concern is that we'll have a lot of company doing the same thing by that time. Thank you for your continued support. I am still plowing ahead with Moogis and I am well into the process with several venture capitalists. I ain't quittin.

Thanks for communicating, Butch. It's disappointing, but the effort is much appreciated.

Best wishes to the band and crew on the upcoming shows!

Thanks for letting us know Butch and we too are sorry it didn't work out. It wasn't for a lack of trying and I am sure the new management at The Beacon had a lot to do with this. Your efforts and communication with us is much appreciated and regardless of the WeBCast situation, we are looking forward the Beacon run as usual. If its anywhere close to what we saw the last couple of years, we are in for a treat! Thanks again Butch, we are honored you stopped in for a visit...Good luck with things now and in the future...

Peace

Thanks for the confirmation Butch - even if it's not what we were hoping for.

Sorry to hear that one of your investors backed away. I'd been thinking for some time that if this really took off - and by that I mean demonstrated proof of concept, technical feasibility, market interest, etc - you would almost certainly be approached with buy-out offers from some bigger groups. Might have been a chance for some tidy profit. Personally; I'm tired of seeing teenagers and 20-somethings become internet millionaires. Would have much rather seen someone hit it big who we all love and respect in the music business.

As much as we often despise them at times, this seems like a very logical next step for someone like TicketMaster or Live Nation

Thanks for letting the faithful know where it all stands.

Damn shame it couldn't start this year.

As for us "getting tired of your schemes", buddy, you never know until you try.

Someone always has to be the first or there isn't a second or third, right?

Good luck.

(But I was sure looking forward to watching from home since I can't go in person).

Butch, sorry to hear that news. I know you've been working hard for a long time on getting this up and running. Sounds like it's not the first time, the VC community has not come through. Seems since the tech bust they are a lot more skittish about where the dollars go. A lot of the money seems to go towards cash flow businesses these days, for more immediate gratification. We deal with a lot of these folks, out here in Silicon Valley. They are a different breed, they don't look at life like the rest of us.

I hope this run is as much fun for you, as it was last year. Since this current lineup has hit the road, it seems the bar is raised each year.

Thanks Butch for the update. You (and the band) always give a 150%. Thanks for trying and there is always next year.
See you on March 23 with my daughter and her husband and my son. It's my 52nd B'day and I would not want to spend it any where else! Look forward to another great run.
Thanks again for all the time and effort in letting all us fans (my cousin) tape the shows.
Peace,
JIM

Well, I doubt they will have first shot at an agreement with the ABB and other family bands. Sorry it couldn't happen this year. I know there are a lot of people who would love to stream the concerts. I think eventually most concerts will be webcasted. The music scene is a growing business if you look to the future and forget the old models, even if the RIAA thinks otherwise.

Good luck to you and Moogis, Butch. It's an idea whose time has come. It's the dreamers and the good schemers who move the world forward, so keep your eyes on the prize and don't worry about the bumps in the road. :-)
