I just watched a great new video on youtube:
"Cher and Gregg Allman" with Cher singing "My Song" (too far gone) about Gregg.

It was put together and posted by "hollywoodcelebrity".

I watched it four times. It is beautiful, haunting and heartbreaking.
Don't miss it if you love Gregg!

If anyone had any doubt, this shows just how much Cher loved him.

THIS VIDEO WAS PUT TOGETHER BY A FAN AS A PHOTO TRIBUTE SET TO CHER'S SONG.

greggswoman posted the video further down this page.

I posted it at Big Daddy's and JHawke's Diary. Unfortunately, I found out quickly there are some people here who still don't want to hear anything regarding Cher. I thought it was a beautiful song and video.

Thanks for enlightening me on this subjrct.
I really don't understand why people feel that way especially something that happened 30 years ago. I really liked the video and the song was beautiful.

I don't think I ever saw the "bump" video.
Their video of Good Thing is the worst video I've ever seen.
The one I memtioned is a fan's tribute in photos set to Cher's song.

At the 'band house' in Gadsden, Carl has a room where Johnny and I stay that he's dubbed 'the Sandlin suite'. As you lay in bed and look across the room there is the Gregg and Cher album. Every time we go I turn it to face the other direction....I feel as if either Johnny and I are intruding on their private relationship or they're intruding on ours. Either way, I just can't go to sleep with them looking out at me!

Oh man! "The Bump" video was terrible!! Actually that entire concert was bad. It has been thankfully removed from YouTube. LOL!!

Here is the video Ruthie is talkin' about. Like I said, I posted it several places and received a good scolding. Oh well...I can't get this song outta my head. I've been singing it for a week.

Just heartbreaking.

When it came out I bought the Gregg & Cher album years ago. I really don't know why so many put that album down. I thought it had some exceptional work on it and some great songs. There was a mix of several styles of music - good stuff.

Out of curiosity, why exactly DID Gregg and Cher divorce (twice), especially if they loved each other so much to be writing songs about each other? Anyone know know for certain? I know zero about it, that's for sure.

Because Gregg at the time was a drug addicted alcoholic hound dog.

No doubt! I have a May 1977 interview with Gregory. At that time he and Cher were split, yet again, (only to reconcile soon after) and he had a "lady friend" with him. So there ya go.

During the early years, some of those guys seemed to wear women on their arms like cheap jewelry!

Red Dog spoke very nicely of Cher in his book. Said she was always respectful of him and the other roadies where alot of people weren't.

Johnny said the same thing about Cher...he really liked her and respected the way she acted during a rough time.
