Has anyone out there seen this band? I'm thinking of checking them out this weekend in Chicago?

Yes you will love them. We saw them in Charlotte a couple weekends back with Cowboy Mouth. I downloaded their CD off Itunes. It is very dumpstaphunkadelic............

I have a funny story about the name. I have listened to them for a while now. I always looked at the name being pronounced dump stap hunk. I got a chance to talk to Ivan Neville after the show and the whole band got a kick out the way I was saying it. Really, it was a couple weeks before the show I was on their website and realized I was pronouncing it incorrectly.....

These guys are very very good. I recommend going to see them.

Saw them at Chazzfest in Charleston, SC back in Sept. They were pretty good, be ready for the funk, very good and entertaining.

I guess it was one of those many to come senior moments. I am famous for seeing it one way and reading it another.

A great band. Tony Hall is a top shelf bass player.

rottinpeach, don't feel bad--I went past this thread title a couple times earlier today and was like, " 'Dump Stap Hunk'?" Pretty meaningless, unless it has seomthing to do with former Creed singer Scott Stapp. Once it briefly looked like "Dump Staph Unk," which made about as much sense.

"Gangster" I'm accustomed to seeing with the "-sta" ending, but not "dumpster." Is any word ending with "-ster" fair game? What's the purpose?
Oo-ooo, street code and cred through illegibility.
