Howdy fellas

Here we go!!

Please annouce yourself there in the mssg board so I know who is in and who isnt.
The best I could do draftwise is March 21 at 5pm. Most all of the prime spots are for the "paid league"

This is $11 per person, but everyone who have to do it to upgrade.
let me know what you guys think. We can upgrade anytime, untill the spots are filled.
We would also get live stats, etc.

If anyone has any problems at all, please contact me.

The TexasHeat is onboard.

March 21st is actually a great time for me.
I'll do the upgrade just for the live stats if everyone else is onboard.

Good luck to all!!!

How about a PRIZE people????

Personally, I think this stuff is lots of fun until people fall out of contention and ignore making necessary moves. So... i vote for a little motivation.

Winner gets Beacon Hotel room and pair of tickets to Saturday ABB show. I figure with 12 teams that comes out to about $35 per team. Thoughts? Wharfie, you can hold the cash until the season ends.

Another note, pleeeeeease dont' schedule the draft for 3/29. I'll be in the LoBalc....

Tickets and a room would real nice if you happen to be close.
How about some airfare too?

OK - a couple of issues here. Firstly, what is the $11 for and how do we get to whom we need to get it to and whom do we need to ge it to? Secondly - what am I to make of this Wharfy?

I wont be hard to find

Thirdly - quite a coincidence that you named your team Chesapeake Skipjacks crossroad. It just so happens that a few years ago, my wife and I spent our annivesary at a B&B in St. Michaels, MD. We took a ride on the last of the skipjacks - the Rebecca T. Ruark and had a great time! Here's a pic of me piloting the durn thing.

Lastly -

Good Luck to all.
I second that

This is to upgrade to the "Plus" league, where we get live stats.. but most of all,a MUCH better selection of live draft dates and times.

I would have to handle the cash for the upgrade, only the Commish can put it through.

Again, we will only do this if everyone agrees..

Well I should be able to swing $11, so I'm in. What, no comment on the stellar pic of me piloting a skipjack on the mighty Chesapeake? Sheeeeeshhh.......... what's someone got to do to get noticed around here?

...and where will I find you on the 29th? really?

I think it IS likely that after their elimination in the first round, they'll be playing some exhibition games in Jerusalem by then. And it's nice to see your confidence in that, it shows you're getting more realistic in your old age.

Hey brother, glad you could indulge in some of our local 'flavor'. St. Michaels is a beautiful place to experience what's left of the true Chesapeake atmosphere. The Skipjacks were originally built to harvest oysters in the Bay. The Rebeca T. Ruark was built in 1886 and one of the last surviving original Skipjacks. There are only about 38 or so left. So many oysters were harvested in the Bay from 1865 to the late 1970's that Solomon's Island (on the eastern shore) became a peninsula because of the oyster shell pileup.

Next time you're in the area, look me up.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled broadcast.......

Im in for the extra $$$ if it gets us a better draft time.

I get back from Amsterdam the morning of the 21st, so I'll probably grab Gretzky with my first pick...

ok just registered...... Cold Beer And Grits...

Chuck may i make a suggestion that we put a limit on Max Moves.......... i've been in leagues without the limit and it just seems the strategy is taken out of the game...... that is of course if everyone else agrees and is cool with it.
