Ok, couple of friends over tonight jamming, talking, fighting about one thing or another, and we came up with this one...
What one word has been used the most in Rock "n Roll Songs?
Now, it started out in just the titles, then we expanded it to songs.
We agreed that the vote here is The Law, not to be debated. Guess we'll let the vote go to tomorrow this time..11pm.
I cannot tell you what word I chose, as part of the deal.
These are our lovely contestants, in no particular order...feel free to write in.
1. Love
2. Baby
3. Yeah
There are others but we don't think they can compete with these 3.
As you can see, we discuss nothing but matters of the utmost importance.
Thanks guys, it's something to have some fun with for a bit. Have a great weekend

It's gotta be 'love'. Useage: I love it....don't you just love it?.....I'd love for you to play the gig....I'd love to play the gig....I love you baby, what did you say your name is?

How do I know that this whole planet isn't just an electron in the atom we call the solar system? In the molecule we call the Milky Way?

I'm voting "Love". Tons of songs with the word "love" in them. That was the whole mindset of a generation....They even named a particlar summer after it.

BTW, maybe you boys should try a little Texas Hold 'Em to pass the time.

I still vote for 'love'....songs about love lead to pretty much all of my above previous responses!

My first thought was 'Baby' or 'Sweet', but Love is right there with them I suppose....

I thought of "love" when I read the thread title before I saw your choices. I'm assuming "the" doesn't count.

Good ones! those two get honorable mention..they can certainly be in the running..

We left out words like The, I, A, etc. But they could well be in the running.

BTW, maybe you boys should try a little Texas Hold 'Em to pass the time.

Poker is Thurs night with another crew. These guys, it would be like taking candy from a baby LOL

"The" It's the most frequntly used word in books as well.

That is what my first reaction was, although, for the purposes of this particular disagreement, they may not have been including parts of speech (modifier? object? help!) such as "the". It could also be "a" or "is". Of course, that all depends on what the meaning of "is" is..... . Of the three choices I'd go with "Love" or "Baby". Funny how the word "baby" has morphed to be used as a term of endearment. I call my wife "baby" all the time.
