Serbo, along with the "dead hands" for that back spin I cant remember if I told you that on the follow thru you kind of abbreviate it say 3/4 or maybe even less. If youre having trouble with massive excavations (major divots) I suggest you work on moving the ball deeper in your stance for better contact and less chance of "coming out of the shot" earlier than you want to or should. I think it would result in better contact on all your irons but especially the 8,9 P, S and Lob sticks. Hopefully we'll get an update from Serbo and progress on that lob and back spin. In the meantime, for the first PM to me I have a copy of 6/27/71 Albert KIngs set at the closing of the Fillmore East.

Hey Dino, my Lob wedge was in prison but thru vigorous rehab has made its way back in my bag. Even rewarded the little bastaard by making it a 61 degree. Now its a cinch to hit shots from my front yard and lob em over the roof and drop em in the back yard when I practice. BTW if any of you eat Foxey or Dole lettuce, if you find any Titlelist golf balls in your salad THEY ARE MINE, please return. I use the lettuce fields around my place as my "driving range" and my kids and grandkids may have missed a few balls when they were retrieving them for me.

Dino, that may be the very cart path that turned my "0ne inch over" Hot 3 Wood into a "5 under" walking stick!!!

Deep thoughts but, unfortunately, even deeper divots. The last time I used a lob wedge I nearly became a Titelist cyclops. Dead hands is a foreign concept to me...I mean I get dead legs all the time readin'... but I try not to sit on my hands...

No fair compairing anyone to Tigers lengths. I hit my L wedge about 70 yds, Sandwedge out to 110, A Wedge to about 125 and P wedge out to 140. Tiger can hit the 7 iron over 200. Freakin showoff, my 7 maxs out at about 180 tops.

Yeah, and you got an 88mph slapshot too, huh? Pretty appropriate to be talkin' golf. One more month until Flyers' golf season starts? Hi Skip.

Maybe I'll start mailing them Titlelist balls along with the extra data discs I get. I won't hit anything but Topflite XLs. I seem to find tons of Pinnacles when I do the walk in the woods. Guess the guys who hit them could use a good lesson from Skip. By the way, old sm never brought up the topic of sound correction once we get the discs. Is it legal to listen to a Skip show and use your equalizer? That should get his head spinning.

Philly Bob, my Odessy putter (Rossie 2 Model) only makes 2 sounds...pop........plop!!
Come to think of it Ron, thoses sounds are very similar to my slap shot (and the speeds are similar too Im sorry to say)
BTW, in Hitting the Note Mag there was a great atricle on Eat a Peach and Tom Dowd. Made mention of speed and pitch probs. I mentioned on anything goes thread also so folks may get a gander. I love the word gander, eh Philly Bob?????

Terri, I believe Clay will be releasing the golf video in the fall of 2005. Dino, dont let anybody mess with your mind on those "intentional bladed shots" too keep the ball low and go under trees and other obstructions. Those hooded 5 iron shots from under the trees comin outta there screamin like a banchee checkin outta hell.

Glad to know I'm not the only one spoiling the crops with golf balls. We have 30+ acres of farm fields behind the house. From April on, I hit balls into the field. The last few years we have had wheat and corn planted there. I hit all the non-Topflite balls I've found into the field. In the Fall, I pick them all up when I come back from deer hunting in the woods behind the field. Skip, I hear Jeremy Roenick just bought a new driver, and can't wait to try it out in April.

Well, considering I don't hold lawyers in very high esteem, if we can settle out of court afterwards, I'll be happy to send him your way for some arbitration...

Seems to be a connection between crops and golf... I used to practice throwing my back out with a 3 iron, sending practice balls into the tobacco fields across the street in Connecticut broadleaf country. Right along the banks of the might Connecticut River. My very first swing bounced nicely off a big-arse propane tank outside one of the tobacco sheds. If you find a TopFlite in your Macanudo, it's mine, and I too, would like it back!

Philly Bob, answer is yes, my studio assistant will be in the video, in fact she is the ONLY reason anyone would even want the damn video at all. We'll be filming it in the dead of summer at 110+ degrees so Im sure her garments and fashions will be on the sparse side too.
Hmmm, yo Ron I hit a TOPFLITE once, then I teed up a round white rock and hit it.... I couldnt tell the difference between the two.

How the hell did I miss this thread? Skip returns to posting with a thread about golf in the trade forum. Should have known.

OK, Dino, next time you are 150 yards from the green, just take out your lob wedge. See? Golf is an easy game really....

150 yards from the green, I use a PW or 9I, depending on wind, snow, or wildlife.
