Seriously folks, if you haven’t been able to check these guys out yet: JUST DO IT! This band is on my 4 hour list - a band I’d drive at least 4 hours to see (there’s really only two other bands on that list (you probably could guess ‘em ;-)). Anyway, I drove 4 hours to see ‘em again this weekend. OK, the trip was purportedly to see Gregg Allman and Friends this weekend, but I ended up leaving after a few of his songs to see Lefty, JP, Pete and Angel. No offense to Gregg Allman, but I had a blast seeing the No Mercy Band in action.

I’m not sure what it is…the jams, the playing, the songs…it’s a package deal with these guys. And they were on Friday night. Absolutely smoking playing – you could tell they were having a fun time up there. Before the show, we met Lefty and Pete at Harry Carry’s. Lee told Pete he wanted to hear Roadhouse Blues and I told him to play Wicked Game that night…

Well, after Lee and I left Gregg’s show, we walked into the Back Porch stage, shook hands with the band, and they proceed to play Roadhouse Blues > Mountain Jam > Wicked Game. How cool was that. Not only did they play those songs, they ripped ‘em. Inspired playing. After a couple more songs, Pedro came on to play, then Devon and his bass player (never got his name – sorry). They played a 20 minute Turn on Your Love Light that rivaled anything Pigpen and the Dead ever played – no sh!t…

Anyway, I could go on and on…but dammit folks, this band rocks. And it’s more than the music too – these guys are just the nicest, most down to earth people you could ever want to be friends with. And I’m so pleased that I’ve had the opportunity to hang out with them and see them make their magic on stage – I’m richer for it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: go see these guys – you won’t be disappointed!

Thanks fellas

I'm right there with ya Chad, These guys are great, I love them. Top notch talent and great guys to boot. Wish I could've seen that show with the Honeytribe guys sitting in. (The bass player is George)
I left The Outlaws in the big room at BB's to see Lefty last March. Had a lot more fun!
Brought my 2 sons and the older one's girlfriend the last time they were at BB's, they all loved the band. Can't wait til March 31st.

March 31st will be the first time seeing Lefty & NMB for me. I'm really looking forward to it! I hear they'll be playing until 3:00am, so catching the Beacon show and Lefty won't be an issue.

The dudes are good enough, very tight and have enough energy to be on a big stage at WANEE.
