With the Leafs, Carolina and Montreal all tied for the last playoff spot, the Rangers 3 points up and the Islanders right behind those 3, its gonna be a tough fight in the stretch.

The 2 games against Buffalo this week should make or break the Leafs.

And as for the hated Habs, who the Leafs play in the last game...where the hell do they find these unknown goalies who shine at just the right time?

Not this time. They went Euro with this one.

Funny. I can't find a Leaf fan that wants to wager over this weekend's back to back games. My buddy was cursing last night. Saying " Why the damn Sabres?".

Hope it comes down to Mtl. vs. Tor for the final playoff spot. I have a feeling that Nolan and the NYI could claim that spot.

I hope you're right, but the Isles and Toronto seem to have the toughest schedules left at least the Isles have DiPietro. Hopefully Toronto is in trouble. Carolina has the easiest schedule...but who knows? Great race though. Seeing Toronto and the Rangers eliminated on the last day would make me very happy.

I think there is a bigger contingency of Leaf Haters (at least on this site) then the population of the Leafs Nation worldwide!!! Its not like their the Yankees, Cowboys or them stinking Dead Things ("Hockey Town/Empty seats)

Give me a break on the whining, whats with giving the Devils or Dead Things slack? Red Wings spent more money then anyone to win cups in the 90's, Leafs spent more money to come kinda close to winning cups in the 90's. Devils bore they hell out of everyone at least the Leafs lose playing a "fast paced" entertaining brand of hockey.

My prediction - Leafs Sweep Home and Home against the SawBres, any takers????

That would be a dream come true for me because I want Toronto in that 8th spot. If Buffalo holds off the Devils for 1st then Toronto is how i would make the most money. Leafs vs Sabres 1st Round would end the same as the two previous experiences for Toronto. Getting swept 4 straight.

Buffalo plays that fast paced style that you mention Toronto plays. The only difference is twice as fast and has defence.

Too bad you live too far away to make money from.

As much as I hate the Ranger$, this is one nice action sequence.

From the first minute of play.

Philly makes a quick substitution to get Fedorek on against NY's checking line.

I don't think it worked.

Habs - Bruins for me tonight with Carolina/Caps highlights. Used to be a great rivalry back in the day, not so much any more. Ya Ron ,what was Philly thinking ? Out of the playoffs and sending out the tough guys in the first. Fedoruk has plates in both cheeks already and history of concussions ?

Leafsfan,if you think those empty seats aren't bought and paid for,try getting one. Better yet,get two and we'll catch a game. I wish had money I could pis* away like that, never ceases to amaze me to those great seats empty.ACC included.

Hey don't get me wrong it would be great to see the Leafs win it all some day (please some day!!!) but I get by (and many more millions of fans as well) watching the Leasfs win or lose playing a style of game thats entertaining most nights and excrutiatingly (sp??) painful on others.
If I enjoyed a soccer style of hockey I'd be a devils fan or even the wild for that matter. Its not the style of hockey I enjoy (send 1 in keep 4 back, wait for miscue and pounce). I also understand if you live in Jersey you should be a devils fan. If you don;t and are still a fan then I question your sanity.
Also I am not the a-hole Leafs fan that I sound like in these emails I only enjoy getting the hockey banter going. Yes I am a disturber of the merde always have been. Maybe we can all talk hockey over beers next weekend at Yogis look for the Leafs Shirt, I promise to buy the first round of Molson Ex. Cheers

I wish I could be at Yogi's for that.

They don't carry any Canadian beer at Yogi's, last year I had to drink Heineken.

Molson Ex?

That would get you banned in Toronto. Has to be Molson Canadian or Labatt Blue. Molson EX is the Quebec brand. I loved it while I lived in Toronto because the EX was always cold. That is if they carried it. Many bars/clubs didn't.

In comparison, I worked in stores from the age of 10 till about 18 in Montreal and we never sold Molson Canadian. Just didn't sell. Move to Toronto and it was all they sold.

Much prefer Ex myself but will drink either. Take Molson Dry over both of them.

Only two hours till Buffalo starts to end the Leafs season. Strange that those "exciting" Leafs only have two guys with 20 goals and only two guys with 50 points. I guess that is Toronto's version of exciting. The guys Buffalo called up from the minors are almost catching them.

Enjoying a nice cold can of Canadian spring water from Lake Labatt right now.

Gonna have some Texas BBQ to go with it.

Best of both worlds.

Drop the puck!

Just driving in the car and FSR was talking about a potential fighting ban in hockey.

I've heard that before. It is by far the best way to control stick work and cheap shots in hockey. Besides people love it. Look how much attention it gets. YouTube is full of fights.

Personally I don't really like the "enforcers" in todays game. Started in the 80s and has only gotten worse. A guy who sits at the end of the bench fights another guy who has been sitting on the bench. Never made sense to me how it could possibly affect a game's outcome. These guys with 3 minutes icetime. There are enough tough players with ability to fill those roles IMO.Richard, Hull, Howe and Orr dropped the gloves and took care of themselves and they were stars. There are many other examples. Those are the type of fights I would prefer.

Forgot to mention.

25 minutes till payday/ Opps I mean Sabres vs Leafs.

Although Toronto won two games in Buffalo this year. First time in many years. Season series is Buffalo 4 & Toronto 2. Buffalo goals 23 & Toronto 17.

Don't have to worry about Chicago meeting Buffalo in the Playoffs again.

I still love the Hawks. There is nothing as pathetic as that in sports.

Molson Ex in Toronto, born in Scarborough weened on Ex. All my drinking buddies backhome not drinking low carb are drinking as well. CDN in PQ is called Lauretide if you ask me. All I drink and all i ever drink when I am home in Scarberia is ex. Molson Ex in PQ tastes like Whiskey in Ontario a little smoother. BC version is brutal bad but still better then CDN anyday. All depends on the water. Guess I should sneak a few cold ones in to Yogis for a sampler.

GO Leafs
