Any chance of hearing Darling Nikki or DMSR during this halftime show? Maybe Appalonia will do a striptease. Anyway, a good choice for the event.

Cool......I will admit that "kiss" is definitely my favorite music video of all time, plus the song itself I absolutely love.

Since he coverted to Jehovah's Witness , he has not been doing the racier material in his catalogue.

If he does it will be planned. That guy doesn't do anything on accident or by mistake...

I too hope he lets rip on guitar. THere is youtube video I saw a while back of him with Tom Petty and a bunch o' hotshots doing "While My GUitar Gently Weeps" - maybe a R'n'R HOF thing for Harrison?! - and PRince just ate that solo.

About 17 or so years back, when I was still buying expensive pressed CD bootlegs and not much downloading or whatnot was going on, I used to really check out GOldmine and Hot Wax for bootleg news, and there were always a TON of PRince bootlegs, and this raised my opinion of him, as it meant that A> he had a lot of interesting unreleased stuff or that B. he did different and exciting things live. Folks who play it safe, like The Eagles, or are popular but not interesting, like Hootie or Foreigner, were not getting booted at all. But there was a massive Prince bootleg interest, and that says a lot.

I dig the older Prince albums from the '80s. Not familiar with any of his newer stuff.

When Prince played "While My Guitar Weeps" in honor of Harrison at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction it really got my attention. I never knew that he could or wanted to play like that. I kind of thought that his solo intensionally upstaged the others playing and when he threw the guitar up in the air (a stage hand caught it) and walked off the stage I thought he was showing off a little too much. But still, his playing did impress me alot. Wife had SNL on a couple months ago and saw a short bit of him on there and he again sounded pretty good.

If he plays guitar the way he did during "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", it will be one of the better halftime shows ever.

Is there a CD that really showcases Prince as a guitarist? I have always thought of him as a pop singer, and was wondering what CD to buy if I wanted to hear a great guitar album?

I love Prince! Would much rather see him out there than Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake (now, about wardrobe malfunctions...)

it just doesn't work for me, if i wanna see someone dance around like a girl, i want it to be a girl, and if i wanna watch mtv during a football game , i'll use my clicker. imo the halftime shows get sillier every year........GO PATS.
