Glad you had such a wonderful concert Kim

One thing I find amusing is that you got one hour of Steve Winwood as the support act and two hours of Tom Petty as the main act ... if the show had been over here in the UK it would probably have been the other way around (LOL)

The show I would dearly have loved to have seen was the Eric Clapton / Steve Winwood gig at MSG where they pretty much re-enacted Blind Faith ... I am really hoping that they might do a repeat of that over here at the Royal Albert Hall next year

Hellooo dear Colin! Thank you for your kind support! Yes, I think Stevie got short shrift too. I would have loved to have heard more Stevie. In addition, he did not get the impressive set and lighting nor did he get shots of him and the band on the big screen so people could see him well. Have you seen Steve live?

And I hope you get your wish for a Clapton/Winwood show in your neck of the woods.

Zeka, hmmmm seems like Rafa is in the final with Roogeeer! Nole put up a good fight but now that it is R vs N, let's cheer like H*ll for our dear Rogi!!

Hi Petri! Hope you {and everyone else!} have a great weekend. Today, we got a record breaking heat wave and it's here for the next few days. Brutal!

Peaches to All!

Dear sis Kim, what to say? Rafa was much, much better! Poor Roogeeeer! But, he is still No. 1!

Zeka, yes, Poor Rooogeeer!! That was painful to watch. Yes, he is still No. 1 but Bjorn Borg was quoted at the French Open saying that he thinks Rafa will win Wimbledon! We shall see soon enough at the end of the month. Looking forward to Wimby now.

Just a whistle-stop post to say hello and goodbye ... my working week is done and tomorrow I am off to a small, south coast village called Salcombe for a week vacation

It is in the county of Devon, which is in the southwest of England ... fresh seafood and a few cold ales will once again be on the menu

This is the place ...

Be good while I'm gone ..... well, good-ish

Thanks Kim ... I am sure my vacation will be great ... no matter what the weather may bring ... I am really looking forward to the break from the routine

And thanks also for the Fathers Day wishes ... my elder son (who left home having bought his first apartment recently) made a point of inviting me round to his place so he could give me a present ... a bottle of gin for me to have an evening aperatif whilst on holiday ... now that is a well educated young man

Catch y'all when I get back ... all the best

Hello and an enjoyable Saturday to you all!

Colin, enjoy your holiday I'm only one day late wishing you happy trails... I'll get back to you later... as also to you my dear Kim

I am also taking a week off from my work as I have some winter vacation left. Can you imagine? I'm having a "winter vacation" in the middle of June. I will start my summer vacation on July 14th (my birthday).

And BTW, my son Pyry will be 7 years old tomorrow! How time flies...

See you all later.

KIM Hellooooo!!! Thanks for the wishes, a beautiful thought even though we have Fathers Day on November here in Finland, lol So I'll have to wait for a little while for my FD...

How are you doing, BTW? I was sure that you'd be enjoying Tom Petty, too. He's more to my tastes than f. ex. Bruce Springsteen - whom I will bee seeing in July 11th in Helsinki. Well, not personally but in concert, heheh (a lousy joke).

Petri, I'm doing ok...beautiful sun and not too hot today. I'm going to watch the final round of the US Open today. Golf, in case you don't know!

I think you'll enjoy Bruce more than you think you will. I know I did!

Hey, enjoy your week off! Hope you have a great time!

Love to you and nice to 'see' you in 'real' time.

And Happy Birthday Pyry!!~

Hellooo...

How are you guys been doing?

I've been working hard, trying to get my records straight and desk clean here at work. I will start my summer vacation on July 12th so I'll just have to sweat some more until July 11th.

But I'll start my vacation with style: I will go and see The Boss performing in Olympic Stadium here in Helsinki!

See you!

Petri, have a great vacation and enjoy the Boss! Your birthday is coming up on the 14th too. Lots for you to celebrate this month! Woo Hooo!

Within the last couple of weeks I have been to the Toronto Jazz Festival twice. The first time to see John Hammond and Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector and Merry Clayton. The second time I saw Mike Stern, John Abercrombie and John Scofield. My fave was John Scofield. I really can understand why Warren enjoys John S. and was inspired to write Sco Mule. I love his style of playing, a bit Warrren-like! BTW, I yelled out 'Sco-Mule' a couple of times and then a guy nearby yelled it out a couple of times too! Another 'in the know' Mule fan at the show!

And we're off to hear and see Van Morrison this Monday at Massey Hall in TO. Looking forward to eating and drinking before the show at the Hard Rock and then off to see Van the Man. First time to see him in such an intimate setting. Still have a couple more shows to see this month: Hippie Fest with Jack Bruce among others and Steve Miller/Joe Cocker. Good stuff to look forward to.

All the best and Love to All!

How was your Bruce show, Petri? Did you have a great time?

I'm off to see Steve Miller and Joe Cocker Tues. night. Haven't seen Steve Miller before but I did see Joe C. in the early 90s. Hope I have a great time!

Love to all...

Hello all!

Kim, THANK YOU, you remembered, sniff... Bruce was alright, heh heh... Not being a fan I couldn't fully appreciate his repertoire and the sound wasn't too good where I stood. But he, being a wide smiling and a very symphatetic showman, really held audience in the palm of his hand. BTW, Bruce received rave reviews for his Helsinki concert in the local papers.

Sorry, have to go, I'll write more later. Adios!
