Hello, my dear S&B!
Here we have the first snow. Cold and ugly!
But dTb is on now and everything is a better!
Love!

HELLO FRIENDS !!!

Had a great time in Krakow (Poland) ... Jan had chosen this destination as her 50th birthday present because as she was a "winter" baby she wanted to go somewhere where there might be some snow ... she was not disappointed!!! ... over a foot of snow fell on the first night we were there so everything looked just like the perfect Christmas Card picture

When I've had a chance to process a few shots through "Photoshop" I'll post them to share with you ...

Kim ... thanks for the emails and photos of you and Sandy ... nice to put a pretty face to go with the name (but don't tell Sandy )

Petri ... typing hand is back in action and Summer report has begun ... will be with you soon

Zeka ... glad you had such a great time at the dTb ... that gives me an idea for Santa's visit to Novi Sad this year

Have a great day everybody ... and remember that this day is perhaps the most important day for us all being together here ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUANE

Hello Everybody!

Colin, thank you for your compliment. And glad you had a nice trip.

Tonight and tomorrow we are getting our first snow storm of the year--up to 15 cm!!! That means sore elbows and time wasted shoveling. Aaaarggg...

Looking forward to Neil Young next Tues. Maybe when I'm shoveling, I'll say Neil Young over and over and I'll be less miserable.

Love, love, love to All...

Good afternoon everyone!

Bruce Springsteen is giving a concert in Helsinki Olympic Stadium on July 11th, 2008. Tickets went on sale this morning and guess who is now a happy owner of a pair... I'm not a true fan eventhough I love his Born To Run and The Wild, The Innocent & The E-Street Shuffle albums... But this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see a true rock'n'roller and a showman (in its most positive meaning) live on stage.

Hey All...

Saw Neil last Tues. night. Awesome show of course . Musical highlight of the night for me was getting a Cortez Encore. One of my fave Neil songs and I was thrilled to hear Mule do it a couple of years ago in Toronto. Never thought I'd get to hear it from the Horses mouth! What a thrill! Also loved seeing him up close...seeing his facial expressions and interaction with the crowd. Non-musical highlight was Neil's guitar strap adorned with Peace signs and Maple Leaves!

Petri, thank you for your email. Glad you did not already have any of the music I sent you! That's great news about your Bruce tix...I've never seen him but I hear he puts on a rockin' show! Enjoy, my friend!

Colin, I hope you are feeling better my dear! And enjoy your upcoming Devon show!

Love to all...

Happy Birthday FINLAND!

Well, it's past midnight here so it's December 7 and The Independence Day of Finland.

Hats off and salute, my friends!

Kim, Neil is one of my old favorites eventhough I don't listen to him that much anymore... but I used to collect all his old albums as a original US vinyl pressings... Even have his first solo album as an original. That is BTW an underated mastepiece... It was great to read that you had enjoyed his concert. I saw Neil w/Booker T. & The MGs in Helsinki in the 90s... Great gig!

And hey Kim, I hope you liked the photos...

Good night sleep tight...

Petri, thanks very much! Re, Neil's first album...that's got The Loner on it right? Neil played that when he opened the second set. Great song and it was another highlight of the evening. His first set was solo acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo and piano. Second set was a band set that got rockin'.

And yes, of COURSE I liked the photos. Your kids are both a delight and I loved getting a new photo of you. Are you wearing a DOSE MULE shirt in that photo?!
PS, happy birthday to Finland!!

David, thank you too my friend! YEAH!! CORTEZ THE KILLER!! What a treat! And we did have a great evening {probably once in a lifetime experience}. Got a short Cinnamon Girl as a 1st encore and I also really liked the new songs he played from Chrome Dreams II...eg. Spirit Road and No Hidden Path, both of which he Rocked Out.

With Lots of Love and Affection...

Happy Sunday All!

Quiet around here when there is snow on the ground. No lawn mowers, weed wackers chainsaws etc. Grey Canadian winter sky and bare branches. Rabbit tracks in the snow.

Off to hear some Trad Jazz later this afternoon with Sandy. Have a couple pints of Tuborg and some dinner out.

Hope all are having a nice Sunday.

I noticed that over a week has passed since sister Kim's entry... Everybody's busy with Christmas shopping and preparations I suppose...

Everything's fine here in the "land of snow" except that we DON'T have any snow... So much for the White Christmas. Kim, could you send some our way?

Cheers!

Hey Petri! G'Day

Yes, we have LOTS of snow to spare. We just got a wicked snow storm and I spent the last two days clearing snow on our property, sidewalks etc.
I hope you get just enough snow {not too much} for your Christmas. Love to you...

Early Merry Christmas Wishes to All!

Have great holidays Colin and Petri!

Friends are coming to our house tonight to help us drink some beer and install our Norton 2008. Then we are taking them out for supper and later to see some friends play Reggae music at a club.

Hope all my dear friends here have a wonderful Holiday Season with their non-cyber friends and family.

Love to all...
