Hi Roger,

Thank you for your so very kind and understanding message.

Well, yesterday was not a good day but I'm feeling a bit better today. And we're heading to Toronto tomorrow to hear some great local music to help us get out of our 'closed Door' funk.
And yes, I'm already thinking about how we can put the money toward the large tab we will be paying to stay at Casino Rama for four days and see the ABB there twice. I think the ABB is pretty darn respectful of their fan base.

Thanks again Roger. I appreciate your kindness. Hope you are having a great weekend!

Happy Sunday All! Hope all the peeps are having good days.

So, I was just lurking on Ray Manzarek's forum and noticed that a fan from Southhampton UK posted to the Toronto thread that their Doors gig has been canceled.

Just thought I'd update y'all on cancellation shenanigans.

Cool and windy today.

What's up folks?

Awfully quiet the "Peaches and Sunshine" International Lounge!!!

How is everybody doing?

Well, the working week is making fast progress so we can enjoy another fine weekend soon.

It's gonna be a great weekend and a much anticipated one.
Sunday i'm going to the " Rockpalast classic rocknight" in Cologne, Germany
(see post image below). Gov't Mule is headlining (my 6th Mule concert so far)
and i'm looking forward to Irish rockers "The Answer" and Texan boogie-rockers "Pointblank" as well. Best news was the later addition of Devon Allman's Honeytribe. My first dose of Honeytribe. I really like "Torch" and judging by setlists i'm in for a couple of surprise covers as well. "Golden Earring" is a different story. They are a Dutch band and therefor they have been touring in the Netherlands so often i was kinda getting an overdose. But it's been a couple of years since i last saw them so hearring those songs again may be cool. Also nice details are the fact that they are playing in Germany so the crowd response can be different when a crowd is "hungry" since they don't play abroad so much anymore; and also the fact that they are still performing in their classic line-up from the early seventies.

Fortunally i do not have to work on monday so i can get some rest. In the evening i'm going to Verviers in Belgium for another Devon Allman's Honeytribe show. This time a full concert in a great music bar / club called the "Spirit Of 66". Always great to be able and compare a festival gig with a full lenght headlining concert. Music and energy wise.
looking forward to both events and all the other summer festivals coming ahead later this month and in early july (2 more Mule shows.....yeehah!!!).

Well folks, i hope everybody is just fine and dandy and in good health !!!

Keep rockin' and Eat A Peach For Peace !!!

Hey there Roger ... looks like you are in for a great time this weekend ... really wish I could join you but having just returned from a short vacation in Spain the Euros are a bit thin on the ground.

Honeytribe were booked for a gig in the UK this Friday ... stupidly in a small seaside town out in the back of beyond and (as I predicted) the gig has now been cancelled due to lack of interest. I would love to see them over here, but a four hour drive after work on a Friday night meant I could not have made that gig on time even if it had gone ahead. Hope they come over to London, or at least somewhere close to it, later in the year.

Meanwhile, I have 5 weeks to wait for Gov't Mule at the Mean Fiddler in London (where we met in 2005) on Sat 14th July followed by Gregg & Friends at Shepherds Bush Empire just six days later on Thursday 19th July ... so at least I am not being starved of entertainment.

Have a great time at the weekend Roger ... and best wishes to all you other International Loungers too ... hope you are all keeping well

Hello all!

To my horror I realised that I haven't been visiting here for two weeks or so... What a shame! I've just been busy... and lazy...

Finnish football (soccer) team lost to Serbia 2-0... Zeka must've been celebrating for that Hi Zeka, how are you doing?

Kim, Colin, Roger, I haven't forgotten you, it's just that for some reason June seems to be a busy month both at work and at home...

I'm about finish work and leave for my ex-collague's 50th birthday bash so it's ta-da to you all...

Have a nice weekend!

Hi everybody! Good to see all are doing well.

Roger, have a wonderful time this Sunday and Monday. I'm jealous of your opportunity to see not only the Mule but Devon Allman. Hopefully, one of these days he'll cross over to my side of the border. .

Zeka, I saw Nole battle with Rafa in the French Open Semi Final. I was rooting for Nole but this was not to be his victory. Good to see him doing so well though. Looking forward to the final on Sunday with Rooogeeer and Raaafaaa. Go Roger!!

Colin and Petri, very nice to see you guys.

I'm looking forward to Derek in 22 days.

Much love to all you sweet peaches.

Depends if I can get both days off work, most likely Tuesday and possibly Wed. Should be a few locals there, I think Jack is going.

Yes, the game against Finland is a past time and we were really better. But, dear bro Petri, I think the last game was a very good for Finland. It will be nice to see FINLAND and SERBIA as the first and second in our group.
Dear sis Kim, yes, tennis was a very good for my country. Such a little country and a lot of players at the end of RG. But, Ana was so bad in the final. Next time... I was with whole of my heart to Rogeeeer (one of reason was a game Rafa - Nole, and I wish Roger's win). But, you have seen...
Nice day in Novi Sad.
Love!
Zeka

I'll bet you are a happy man this morning Zeka ... Serbia 1 v Italy 0 in the European U21 Championship

England got off to a relatively poor start with a 0 - 0 draw against the Czech Republic ... missed a penalty 3 minutes from the end of the game!!!

Have a good week everybody

I wish I could but I just have too much going on around that time. In fact, I would like to go to the Jazz Cafe on the Tuesday of that week to see John Hammond even more, but I am away the weekend before and then with Mule on the Saturday and Gregg the following Thursday I just can't afford to do it all.

I just wish theses guys would spread themselves out a bit ... we get nothing (of any real note) for a couple of months and then 4 acts that I would really like to see all within the space of 10 days. At least we are starting to get more music of this genre on a regular basis now which is a very good thing.

Anyway, look forward to sharing a brew before the Mule show

Yes, dear bro Colin! Serbia won. We are in the same group, and I hope so that Serbia will be in the final game (Yes, only hope so!), vs. England?
Yesterday we had a hard rain (some song?) here in Novi Sad. Now is a nice with lot of sun.
Love!
Zeka
P.S.
Have you seen a story about Mr. Bush and his watch in Albania???

Hello my international friends!

Nice weather here, a little cooler that it has been for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Everything is sooo green and I think I can hear the grass grow...

Zeka, congrats for Serbia winning Italy.

We (Finland) won Belgium 2-0 and are 4th in Group A with 14 points from 8 matches. Serbia is 2nd with 14 points from 7 matches. Poland which is holding the top place has 19 points from 9 matches. According Mr. Sami Hyypiä (Liverpool FC) new nickname for our football team should "Eagleowls" (Huuhkaja in Finnish) becuase of the eagleowl that chose to fly over the stadium during the match...

Oh dear, it's 4 o'clock and time to pack it up. Home calling...

Cheers!

Good Friday all!

With all the football talk for a moment I thought I was in the wrong forum.

Tough decisions heh? Brother, I wish I were in your shoes... All my favorite artists in my backyard in 10 days, really tough decisions... Over here we are lucky if we have one or two decent shows a year.

Anyway, sorry for being absent lately, but I've been very busy with work and other stuff like gardening and farming. The good news is that the two peach trees that I planted last year (currently 2.5 yrs old) are giving a couple dozen delicious looking peaches. Should be ripe in a week or so.

The weather here is fantastic. Lots of sunshine, temp at 31 degrees (C), and some occasional rain. Will probably head to the beach on Sunday.

Good to see you all again, and have a fatntastic weekend.

-Danis

PS. @Zeka & Roger: Mythos is already in the fridge and waiting.

Hello, my dear S&B!
Dear bro Danis, hope a lot of Mythos, because we are great! Ha-ha!
That will be "at a same place and same time". I'll be in the same place as last year. Why? My family decided = nice place, nice sea, nice pool, nice food... This year that will be from 11 to 26 of July. I hope this year we'll meet bro Roger together.
Yes! Bro Roger, what you think about the result of the game, in the first place about the 2nd England's goal? Now, I am sure that the final will be England vs. Serbia. And the winner (you or me ) will buy a couple of Mythos in Greece!!! Ha-ha!
Love!
Zeka
