Except on Halloween.

I'm sorry to be so slow with this, but here's the poop..........

The news was not as bad as I had feared nor was it as good as I had hoped. All of the tumors (Lymph Nodes & Hip Bones) have grown "slightly." Somehow, that is not very comforting. I am being told I should undergo Radiation on my hip to ease the pain. I believe that I will follow that recommendation as such treatment is generally successful and the side effects, in this instance, would be minimal.

For the rest, I'm being told that I should continue my current ChemoTherapy Treatment. I am less sure about that as its effectiveness has seemed to dwindle with time. Further, my ability to handle the treatments is dwindling as well.

I have a big decision to make - should I continue down the road I'm on or make a major change in treatment plans? Currently, I feel that I am slowly dying - and my "quality" of life is deteriorating. If I change treatments, I would have to quit working and go to either The Cancer Treatment Center of America or the City of Hope. Both offer more comprehensive (mind, body & soul) treatment.

A real "upper" on a Friday, huh? My apologies along with my gratitude to this marvelous community.

Hearing from you is never a "downer". Love you brother!!! I think I would try for the mind, body and soul treatment . . . it can't hurt to try something different. But you are the one who ultimately has to make that decision. Godspeed in whichever journey you choose. You and your family are always in my prayers. Love ya, Stacy.

No apologies needed, Bob.

Thanks for the update. We were all hoping for better as well.

Tough decisions ahead for you, ones I hope I never have to make for myself or a loved one. I'm sure you, Denise and Cami will decide what's best for all of you.

Sending more healing vibes your way, Bob.

Bob, big decisions for sure. But as you've shown in the past you will make the choices that are best for you and your family. And we will continue to line whichever path you choose with support and love. I wouldn't dare pretend to understand the feelings you're dealing with, but would hope that you follow your gut and find peace in your heart with your decisions.

Either way, the decision you'll make will be what's best for you and your loved ones.

Trust your instincts and go with that.

We'll be here in your corner always.

Offering all the support, love, prayers, voodoo magic, and monthly virgin sacrifices we can muster.

Take care Bob, I'll be thinking of you.

LOL! What more could you ask for brother Bobo? Seriously I echo Wott's sentiments and I believe you have previously mentioned that the job your at does tend to have that draining/ soul sucking affect on you. One battle at a time Bobo and you come first! All my best to you always....

I had no idea that this topic was about Bobo or I would have chimed in a lot earlier. Having registered back in '02, I guess I'm a semi-old-timer on this site, even though I have neither the time nor desire to post 50 times a day; anyhow, Bobo was one of the first folks I got to know here via cyberspace (as well as one of the nicest). It was great to meet him back in Pittsburgh Summer '05, and here's wishing him nothing but the best and sending him sincere prayers and good wishes. I'll spare all the cliches (almost), but keep the faith Bro'- you can beat this.
