As Beacon tickets go on sale and I know I can't be there – and the suggestion of a trip to Hawaii for Gregg got shot down (actually voice of reason no $) -- Come on people lets talk this one (MOOGIS) up!! I for one on the far left coast hope it goes through. Man $100 is a deal to me! I couldn’t get a plane ticket to a town for that amount! Plus all the special quests… Fingers crossed keep the chatter up! Any updates?

Breck, everyone working behind the scenes on Moogis is still committed to and excited about it. What we need is a PPDA, peachy public display of affection ;-) If you haven't vote yet, vote. If you have voted, get your friends to vote. It's very close to happening. You can put it over the top.

| Can I ask a logistical question that I hadn't thought of until now: I voted maybe because as much as I'd like to watch the shows online, I'm in med school and probably should not be spending too much time with it (though my spring break is the first week of April, so I'll have a bit of time). Will I be able to go onto the show once it is archived and watch specific tracks or do I have to watch it the whole way through? I ask because I'll probably want to watch some highlights (special guests, rare songs, other special surprises), but I won't have time to watch the whole thing and wait for it. Thanks for your help. ____________________

Here's a portion of Butch's letter that I think answers the previous posters questions:

We are offering a one year subscription to Moogis along with the Beacon subscription. It's our way of saying thanks as well as a way to build a base in Moogis even before we go live. All shows will then go into our archives and any of these concerts can be viewed by any subscriber at any time. We will also build a massive library of documentaries and videos of 100's of the best bands currently touring. There will be a guest book, forums and message boards as well and we are still working on some new twists. Basically what we want to do with Moogis is build a music community that will give subscribers (we're thinking $9.95 per month) a community that is so full of live and taped music that you couldn't possilby see it all. What I am excited about is the platform that this gives the bands.

I've gotten behind MOOGIS very recently because it finally struck me - live music enriches my life substanially, but spending thousands of dollars in pursuit of live music sort of does the opposite.
MOOGIS sounds like a good way to stay home more. thank you!

Let's hope that we can get everyone to vote YES for MOOGIS!!!!
Even if you are lucky enough to be attending the Beacon shows and you might even have a front row seat for your 3 shows, you can see the other shows from the comfort of home....heck, you can be wearing your PJs and be enjoying the shows.
AND
your $100 gets you a free year's subscription!!!
I have not seen Wanee mentioned, but wouldn't it be cool to MOOGIS Wanee also?? Perhaps if there is enough interest for MOOGIS, then that will become another of the special events that they will add to MOOGIS.

Even if you did get tix vote YES, it's less than ONE Orch/Loge ticket[ after service fees!].
Then you get see all other shows your not going to.

I'm in the UK and am passing on the Beacon this year for for $ reasons.
MOOGIS would be a great alternative but I would be reluctant to subscribe in case my PC isn't up to it. I can't watch Youtube videos, for example.
If I thought I was sure to receive the downloads, I'd be interested.
