G;day - I am new to the forum - although I am on here a fair bit - just never posted before.

Can some of you who have been to the beacon let me know what you'd consider the good seats at the beacon to be? Or are they all good?

I imagine that even the worst seat in the house is pretty good as it only holds 2800.

Do the shows pretty much sell out straight away?

Also - what do you think are the best days to go?

I am coming over from Australia for the shows this year - I'll keep reading the other forum posts but any advice or info on the above or anything you'd like to share with a newbie (to the forum and to the beacon shows) would be much appreciated.

Far out man - I am excited - I've been into the allmans for about 20 years - this is going to be the first time I get to see them.

Also (I'm rambling now) - in 4 weeks I get to see DT with EC - 3 shows in 3 cities.

2007 is looking pretty good from where I'm sitting.

Eat a peach.

All good. But if you like to sit, then Loge or Balcony is the way to go. Orch is pretty much all standing..

Wharfy...LOL!! You are right ON, my friend!!!!

To our friend from Oz, I would say you'd do well to avoid the upper balcony (too high up for my taste) and the rear rows of the Loge (too smoky and sound is too muffled). BTW, NYC no-smoking laws do not apply during the ABB Beacon runs.

lol - yeah, those are the dates look like they will be the best shows.

Thanks for the response.

What do you mean the weekends get a little tight - cause they sell out and the others don't? Surely they all sell out?

Rear of the Orch gets a little muffeled as well.

But it is easier to make the quick getaway when the show is over

Gotta get that prime aftershow seat at Yogi's

YOGI's is Wharfy's signature. Yogi's is a state of mind. Yogi's is a dive bar/Yogi's is Heaven. Yogi's is a block and a half from the Beacon's front door and has ridiculously, um, FRIENDLY barmaids, for want of a better word.

You will see all, my Australian fdriend! WELCOME!!!

The Beacon has traditionally suspended BOTH anti-smoking laws for the ABB. But bear in mind that it's under new management this year and this will be our first taste of them -- and their first of US! LOL

No worries - I'm good for a beer and then some

As I am on the other side of the planet - it is past my bedtime!

Nice to finally say hello - I'll catch you all later (on the forum and at the beacon).

TYPES OF TEQUILAS

Tequila can only be produced in Mexico, in the Tequila Region, and must comply with strict Mexican government regulations. In order to satisfy an ever-growing demand and a multitude of consumer's preferences and tastes, tequila is produced in two general categories and four different types in three of those categories. The two categories are defined by the percentage of juices coming from the blue agave:

Tequila 100% Agave. Must be made with 100% blue agave juices and must be bottled at the distillery in Mexico. It may be Blanco, Reposado, or Aņejo.

Tequila. Must be made with at least 51% blue agave juices. This tequila may be exported in bulk to be bottled in other countries following the NOM standard. It may be Blanco, Gold, Reposado, or Aņejo
