I'm not sure why, but when I went to see Clutch at the Starland Ballroom in NJ the other day (great show by the way), they gave us free Mountain tickets on the way out for Jan 13 there. I can only guess they weren't selling enough tickets and maybe they're filming something and need a full audience. The date is a bit inconvenient for me, but if the word seems to be that it's definitely worth it, I'll do what I can to make it there. If I can't, look for a free pair of Mountain tickets to be offered up in a week or so.

Or if anyone has not seen Mountain, but was at the Beacon show where Leslie West was a guest? How was he? Does he still have it or is he a Johnny Winter-like shadow of his former self?

Leslie was pretty badass at The Beacon 2006. I thoroughly enjoyed his contribution.

I saw Leslie West (and Corky Laing) with the Bros at the Beacon and they were great and until then I hadn't paid much attention to Mountain. They played here in the UK later in the year in very small venues (Swindon Arts Centre - less than 200 seats!) and they blew the place apart. Free tickets - use them yourself, my friend!

Leslie is great & Corky is got to be the most hilarious MF I've ever seen on or off stage...

Ritchie Scarlet on Bass is so under rated......very talented...

Every time Mountain comes to the area I try to see them. Always enjoyed Leslie's playing. Last time I saw them was last April in White Plains, NY. They played for about an hour and a half, nothing stellar but overall a decent show. Leslie can still rip it up pretty damn good. Going to see them again in Ridgefield on the 14th, if that tells you anything. Free tix? Seems to me like a no brainer.

Seen them twice in the last 2 years in Manchester England. They blew the place apart. Don't waste the free tickets, get yourself along. And watch out for the flying drumsticks, Corky has a habit a throwing dozens out into the crowd.

Leslie's newest studio album from '06, "Blue Me," was proof that he's still got some bite left in his playing. Got free tickets? Definitely go.

a friend of mine opened up for him and mountain earlier this (last) year. said leslie was pissed at somebody or something but when it came to showtime he went out and played his ass off - true professional. said it was a great show. even if leslie's voice ain't quite what it used to be he still can play - go see them!

WOW.........nice to see MR. Leslie West looking so trim. I used to think they named Mountain after him.
