I was listening to a couple of concerts on Wolfgangs vault and listened to the 2 H & O shows. I think they are pretty good and the band sounds pretty tight. Any thoughts?

I will come out of the closet. I actually listened to them in the day and I think they were good.
I always did like Sarah Smile.

the fact that I'm a Hall and Oates fan has caused me a fair share of abuse at HTN - seen them about six times in the last few years, they were quite good

Big fan. Loved Daryl Hall's solo record and his work on the Robert Fripp solo record. (a new
release has his vocals tracks restored that RCA insisted on removing)

The Dude has got some serious vocal pipes.

Like the earlier records best. Saw them in the 70's, 80's and 90's

Saw Hall and Oates twice in the 70's. I have Live Time

and Along The Red Ledge, which was a KILLER album.

Hall and Oates is one of those acts that takes me back to warm, happy memories of being a teenager in love.

The concert on WolfGangs features alot of stuff from Along The Red Ledge, Might be their strongest effort.

They turned into a '80's top 40 singles band. My wife bought me two vhs tapes at our local dollar tree. In case someone hasn't heard of the dollar tree it is a store that sells everything for $1. Anyway she came home with a Uriah Heep live and a Hall and Oates live vhs. The Uriah Heep was filmed in the '90's but H&O was from back in the '70's. I enjoyed both of them. I knew I would like the Heep but wasn't sure about H&O but it turned out to be a great find for a buck.

I saw Hall & Oates live back in the day and they put on an excellent show (had a great band with them - as I recall GE Smith and T-Bone Burnett were in there). Always enjoyed their music and think Hall put out some remarkable vocal tracks (he really shined live, too).
