There is some pretty funny stuff here, but after seeing what made #1 I figured I just had to share with all of you. Hope you laugh as hard as I did.

Those were too incredibly funny.....and so painfully true....especially number 1! Thank you for that trip down misery lane

So, yelling " 'Free Bird'!" at a band got number _, and yelling " 'Whipping POST'!" gets nothin'?

Fine.

Spelling p.s. to AOL:
Like many people, you may be confusing Skynyrd's "Free Bird" (two words) with Stravinsky's The Firebird.

Peter, I believe people shout for The Firebird Suite only at Yes concerts.

Oh, thanks for the laugh ... sending this one off to my brother (who is a guitarist) and other musician friends who will surely appreciate it

You were reading my mind, Droogie, picturing the Yes audience waiting for the show to start: "Excerpt from 'Firebird Suite' " > "Siberian Khatru."

. .

I just didn't want to mention Yes in the same sentence as Skynyrd. (<-- Uh-oh.) Stravinsky, fine, but not Yes.
