as reported in The Onion......

SAN FRANCISCOŚWith the publication of a book detailing steroid use by San Francisco Giants superstar Barry Bonds, two San Francisco Chronicle reporters have corroborated the claims of Bonds' steroid abuse made by every single person who has watched or even loosely followed the game of baseball over the past five years.

Keith Foulk going to Cleveland if he passes physical. I am guessing he will be set up man to Borowski? Maybe they plan on using him as a starter!?

Didn't Foulk say he wanted to start?

Just read this today.

interesting move by the Sox to pick up Joel Piniero for 1 yr $4 million plus incentives.

Seems a tad high for a 7th starter but this is a weird pitching market.

From that article he is going to be a middle reliever or try for the closer role.

One thing we have learned. Can never have to much pitching!

Company that test Baseballs to see if they are modified says the baseball was juiced in 98! The year that McGwire and Sosa broke records. Like they needed any help!

OK! Its official R. Johnson traded to Arizona

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2720413

The FAN said a relief pitcher, two minor league pitchers and a minor league short stop.

Yaaa hoooooooooooooo

They also signed Doug Mientkiewicz
Decent player, but that means one of two things.

With signing him, that makes Giambi full time DH ( a good thing)
But, that means that either Melky Cabrerra is going to be traded ( NOT good, IMHO)
Or that Bernie's time in NY is over

You won't have to worry about him catching the last out of the World Series this year unless he gets traded.

Some good news:

Former Yankees star and current broadcaster Bobby Murcer returned home to Oklahoma this week after having brain surgery in Houston last week. The Yankees said he has had no setbacks since the surgery.
