Just a quick vote... Do you guys want 10 teams with a small roster, or 12 teams with a larger roster?? ( Only difference would be more of a bench)

Thanks for putting me on the list.

The more the merrier, up to a point. 15 teams would be about max. As far as roster size I can go with whatever everyone else wants.

I would like to see an owner optional live/pre-ranked draft. If you want to draft live you can sit in front of the computer for hours. If not you can use a pre-ranked list.

IMHO a pre-ranked list takes away some of the skill involved in selecting a team such as dealing with position and statistic (Saves,SB) scarcity and rounding out the team with bench selections where position may become as important as other stats. I would like the option of a live draft.

That being said I understand the problems in selecting a time that is good for everyone.

Comments?

Either way I'm ready to play!

Would love to do the fantasy thing, just can't commit the time and energy to it.

Less then 3 weeks to go...pitchers and catchers in 20 days!

head to head would make for more rivalries
obviosuly that would only work if we have a even numer of teams

I think for head-to-head we need 12 teams in Yahoo land....... Plus, I think for beginners head-to-head is little more difficult.

How does head to head work?

Your team against the other team?

How does the stat thing work?

In that case especially for pitchers?

Just curious.

You guys are sooooo lucky! MLB released their master schedule and the Red Sox are slated for national broadcasts for the maximum allowed 14 times (5 on ESPN, 9 on FOX)...and as an added bonus all but 4 are home games in American's most beloved ballpark! Mark your calendars now!

ESPN
April 8 -- @ Rangers
April 22 -- vs. Yankees
June 3 -- vs. Yankees
Sept. 16 -- vs. Yankees
Sept. 30 -- vs. Twins

FOX
April 14 -- vs. Angels
April 21 -- vs. Yankees
April 28 -- @ Yankees
May 26 -- @ Rangers
June 2 -- vs. Yankees
June 16 -- vs. Giants
July 21 -- vs. White Sox
Aug. 25 -- @ White Sox
Sept. 15 -- vs. Yankees

Please, please, PLEASE god don't let Bonds get hot to start the year and even be close to breaking the record at Fenway in June.

Rob, for Head-to-head whoever has more HRs wins that category, RBI same thing, lowest ERA same thing. You play each team twice in the season. For each category you win, you get a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the week wins the head to head. For rotisserie, it's basically the same concept but you get points by who has the most stats in that category out of the whole league. For instance if your pitching staff had the second most wins and we are in a 10 team league, you would get 9 points. Whoever at the end of the season has the most total points wins.

Thanks Rob

I should have clarified the question better I was just wondering how all the stats figured in the head to head.

We played rotisserie last year.

JD Drew and Sox finally get contract done! Below was what got it done.

the sides agreed on language that would allow the team to opt out of guaranteed money in 2010 and 2011 if a specified pre-existing injury recurs.

He then realized he broke his finger signing the contract and had to go on the DL

Again

Isn't the first game that counts on 3/31?
Our league might be starting up the same night we're all totally pasted to the Beacon floor!!!

How'm I gonna turn in a quality start with that much liquid lunch in me, Chuck?!?

And let's not mention the double-fisted distractions over at Yogi's... Talk about the Grapefruit League...!

So much for wanting to stay with a winning team eh?

Money talks...

They can have him!

He should have stayed with St. Louis. That pitching coach resurrected his career.
