Hey guys! Do something useful. Whip up a couple of pizzas for us.

I'm a lasagna guy. I could make you a lasagna to die for. In fact, after eating it, a person on the bubble would keel over from clogged arteries. It's that good.

According to ESPN insider Bonds still has not signed his contract. Hmmmmmmmm..............

quote:
Speed trap?
Jan 12 - Barry Bonds has yet to sign a $15.8 million, one-year contract with the team after both sides reached an agreement in principle five weeks ago, the San Jose Mercury News reports. It has been speculated that a number of factors -- ranging from the presence of Bonds' entourage to the possibility he will be indicted for perjury in the BALCO case -- have held up the deal.

The Giants front office provided no vote of confidence for Bonds after learning of Bonds' failed amphetamines test. Owner Peter Magowan and executive vice president Larry Baer issued a statement saying the team fully supported baseball's stance against performance-enhancing substances.

"Last night was the first time we heard of this recent accusation against Barry Bonds," the statement said.

Speaking of I find a lot of old Italians who are Yankee fans. Here it is very close to 50/50 between Yankees and Red Sox fans.

I'm half Italian (but not Sicilian... my Daddy's pepole are from up north in the Piemonte region and Lonato)...

My Pops grew up in Mass, but he was a Boston Braves fan (!)... a local Milford, MA paisan who was his older brother's age made it for a little while w/ the Braves, Hank Cimoli...big source of pride to the local ginzos in the '20s!

Daddy moved to NYC but stayed a Braves fan through their time in Milwaukee, but when the Mets were born that was it. He was a Mets fan from day one and made damn sure I was too! LOL... Daddy HATED the Yankees! (But he loved Phil Rizzuto... )

The Yankees haven't had luck with many pitchers from anywhere. I think they need to replace whoever is doing their talent evaluations. They need to spend a little more time looking over medical histories.

Did someone say Carl Pavano?
