Around 1980, I met this guy at a party. He sure was a sight to behold. After a few too many drinks, I began to say what I was thinking. I told said guy that I'm sure he looked even better with his clothes off. Thank God he was a gentleman. He became the love of my life. Not one regret, I wouldn't have done a thing differently.

Snowed-in by myself in my apartment in suburban Philly in March 2003. After polishing off a couple of bottles of Chianti in a relatively short period of time, I got on-line and with no real plans to do so, I ordered a pair of tickets to the Deepest End show, at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, during Jazzfest. Having bought the concert tickets, I figured I better buy a couple of plane tickets for my fiance and myself. The next morning, I shook off a headache, booked a hotel and spent an amazing 3-day weekend in New Orleans, which featured some amazing food, an historic performance, and my first Jazzfest experience....all because of my impulsive drunken travel planning.

I don't recall if it was 1982 or 1983, but on a visit from IN to GA to see my mom, I had an interesting experience at the ATL airport. I usually drove to GA to see mom, but I had flown down on this particular trip. On the flight home, I had a 2 1/2 - 3 hour layover in ATL, so I hit one of the nice little lounges in the termiinal. After 3 Boilermakers, I had a nice little buzz going. About 15-20 minutes from my flight departure time, I decided to mosey on down to my gate, which, by the way, was Gate 30, at the end of the terminal. I got down there and got my boarding pass out, and I noticed the flight number on the pass and on the terminal sign didn't match. The attendant told me, "Sir, your flight departs from Terminal A. We're in Terminal B." Needless to say, I hit the trail runnin', my carry on bag swingin' with my arm. I hit the underground tram to the next terminal, terrified I was going to miss my flight. Keep in mind the trams are located midway in each terminal, so I had to run all the way to Gate 30 in the next terminal. I arrived at the correct gate completely out of breath and my buzz depleted. They had just made the last call for boarding, and the gate attendant said, "Sir, I'm afraid we've overbooked coach." Now I am really bummin', after making that sprint from terminal to terminal. She then says, "We have a seat in first class we can put you in." My frown changed to a smile, and I boarded the plane. Once we got in the air, the seat belt light went off, the stewardess approaches me and asks if I would like a drink. Needless to say, once we touched down in Indy, I had my buzz back on.
