With these next two shows, all I have to say is WOW. I realized I didn't have the May 25th and 26th, 2007 Visulite Theatre shows. These are great. They have probably been posted here before, actually I think they have but just a reminder to listen to these shows!

They played so many old good DTB tunes/covers including; Like Anyone Else, To Know You Is To Love You, Afro Blue, So Close So Far Away, Life is Crazy, Home In Your Heart, and one of my favorite sandwiches ever, Rastaman Chant>Sierra Leone> Rastaman. whoever went to these shows sure got it made. If I were suggest any upcoming DTB fans what show to listen to, it would be these.

Well it was a failed experiment. I tried to take this post to a blog but with the life changing events I was unable to keep up with a daily post. So I return here to where 90% of my day is spent to continue to spread the music of the dTb. (w/o pictures)

an interview with, Peter Barakan.

Derek Trucks is God. Graffiti in England once said the same about Eric Clapton, but recently Trucks has been touring with Claptonóat Claptonís request. He continues to play with the legendary Allman Brothers Band, meanwhile successfully fronting his eponymous band as well. If he ainít God, then heís one serious trucker.

The bandís December show in Ebisu was what you would expect of six ridiculously talented musicians: energy, art of a high order, goose bumps. They didnít simply gel, they transcended. You wonít see Trucks let loose physically, however; on stage heís a still center to his band-mates, even seemingly contemplative at times. To some extent, their sum was greater than the whole of their parts because he finds the right moments to withdraw musically as well, letting the other musicians shine. Itís a band, dammit, not a backdrop to Narcissus with a guitar, though Orpheus, at least, is listening. And for two charged hours the sold-out crowd turned their rapt attention to a range of songs from the bandís six albums, including some surprises we can only hope will be on an upcoming release. While weíre at it, letís hope for another tour in Japan this year, too.

I forgot how "smoking and powerful" Leavin' Trunk was. This show took close to 2 years to show up. I stood at the stage and starred in amazement at Derek. There is hope yet for 3-31-2006
