Eric as far as I can tell you account for more than 5k of the views to your own thread. The copy and paste skills you've aquired are really quite remarkable. I especially like how you seemingly take credit for every photo, link and set list you place on your threads. Even better are your comments about how one version of a song is better than another which is better than another...all because you saw the one show live and merely listened/downloaded the others. YOU SIR ARE A LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND. Please refrain from sucking yourself so veraciousiosly in such a public forum - it is not very becoming. All in my honest own of course - maybe you and rod johnson can get together to discuss how great each thinks the other is.Try attending more venues so that you can provide some level of informative value in your posts once in a while - it would be a pleasant surprise. Oh, and this is what? my 2nd post ever, but I have attended shows in 2007 in Georgia,North Carolina,Virginia, Connectitcut,New Jersey,District of Columbia, California, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota,Illinois and have tickets in hand for New York & Florida with plans to swing out to Hawaii and Japan before the New Year. It is unfortunate that every newbie to this forum is led to believe that the number of stars beside one's avatar is somehow an indication of how "in the know" a person is. 'Ever heard the saying about "...still water..." ?

PeachPulpett,

Why would you say such mean things?? Eric is just here to bring the joy of music to eveyone's ears. It doesn't matter how may shows you go to or how many posts you've made here. That's just silly.

PeachPulpett - I notice you are a recent arrival to posting here. Therefore I'm curious as to why you've gotten your panties in a wad. I don't recall ever seeing Eric take credit for any photos, links, set lists as being produced by him and him alone. He merely provides links to the music, videos, pictures that many of us love to hear and view. Many times these are recordings he has copies of and he provides his input on his opinion of them. That is his right - in fact you and I share that right. Nowhere that I can recall has he made claim to seeing live shows in "Georgia,North Carolina,Virginia, Connectitcut,New Jersey,District of Columbia, California, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota,Illinois" or whatever. Maybe, since you are such a well travelled person with a higher state of consciousness and greater understanding of the music you will consider starting your own thread and begin highlighting your concert impressions and experiences there instead of bushwacking a thread that was created merely to provide many fans who visit this site with a central location for finding the music we came to this site for. You are correct - multiple stars next to one's avitar doesn't indicate that anyone is "in the know" just as single stars do not always indicate that someone is mean spirited and argumentative. Do not be so sensitive about your newbie status. People here are warm and inviting and you will find them welcoming and anxious to discuss music or whatever when they are not greated with an immediate attack. Enjoy the boards. EAPFP

Well, my sincerest apologies to all the Eric Lovers in here. Ladies, I meant no offense to any of you. I have just started posting here - but I've been reading the "mail" for a long time...and I was mearly expressing FACT. Dude is a poser. Perp-traitor. Nickledime cut & paste artist. I never said it WAS important how many shows one attends - I'm mearly making a point. GO OUT, see the band, have a good time. Stop posing in this little microchasm off the river of life and start living.

In the event I were so inclined - it would require little talent or effort to search the web and cut&paste materials into a thread that I could then perpetually respond to myself on until I inundated the entire forum with mundane, redundant B.S.

For the record, it is your best bet when dealing with an unruley individual to just ignore them.

Pulpett, you should stand down from your soap box (or Pulpet) for a while...

Not every one takes ctrl+c ctrl+v so darned seriously. And yes, I realize I should be ignoring you right now. Say what you want, but it must take some serious time to scour the web for the stuff he finds.

Besides, some folks just want to come to one central place to feel as though they have caught up. Most folks don't want to read a dozen newspapers to get the scoop (even though reading all the periodicals/papers and traveling to the places the news is being made and then diseminating (sp?) the information for ourselves is probably better). That IS what you mean by LIVING right? No need to responde to that as it was rhetorical.

If we all had the time to tour everywhere, we would not need the likes of this board. So anyway, I'm ignoring you now.

hmmm - apology accepted but I question your sincerity since you followed it with more written attacks.

You are making a lot of assumptions about people, though. Have you met Eric? I have - in NYC at an ABB show (he travelled there from Boston, I travelled there from Midwest). I'm sorry, I just feel it's presumptious of you to make assumptions about anybody elses quality or quantity of life and then attack them for something that is entirely your perception (not FACT, as you have described). I'm not quite sure what you are attempting to imply by the 'posing in this little microchasm off the river of life'. If your implication that posting here would indicate a lack of true living then I'm sorry, you're mistaken. Been all over the world, been doing shows since the 60's, music/concerts only account for a small portion of my life, have a family and lot's of friends who aren't members here, can read a book, can formulate a thought. I'm pretty sure that most here are a little more well-rounded than what you seem to percieve them as being. If I misinterpret the meaning of your posing comment, forgive me.

You finally got one right and I will leave you to your unrulyness and extract myself from any further discourse on this! Peace out!

WTF? This is totally uncalled for. Yes, you have a right to your opinion, AND at the same time you don't have a right to come in here and sh%t on one of the most dedicated members of the community. If you wanted to be ignored, you wouldn't have posted in the first place.

As a relative newcomer myself (to the board, not the music), one of the first things I did when joining was send Eric a pm THANKING him for all that he does for this community. Why? Because his willingness and thoughtfulness to share bring more joy and happiness to my life and so many others. There's no way I have the time to search all this stuff out individually - he's an invaluable resource who enhances my knowledge and enjoyment of all things related to ABB. This may be a new concept to you, but some people do things purely wanting to give without expecting anything in return.

I, for one, couldn't imagine this board without him.
