Man! What a drunk that guy is. Did you see him falling all over the stage?!! And how many beers did he slam down? Thanks for the link GW. It's great to see the boy with him. He wasn't there when I saw Dickey in April.

Great clip. Thanks very much.

As for Duane, he doesn't even play half the time and when he does he turns his volume on the guitar way down. At times it seems he doesn't even know the tunes. I was front row at a show this summer so I heard the amps on stage loud and clear. It was obvious when he played and when he wasn't. I think it is why he turns his back to the crowd so often. Sorry if I sound like I am bashing him (I guess I am) but this clip makes it real obvious also. It is Dickey's band and his son so I guess it is his right to have anybody on stage but is this really helping either Duane or the band? I just really don't think the music suits him or his style of playing.

The band was real good the night I saw them. Seems like it was another great show at the Beacon.

I was at the Beacon show, 2nd row, on Duane's side, and I thought he did a fine job. It was my first time seeing him play and, although he didn't take too many solos, the one's he took were very solid. A 3 guitar line-up is a very tricky animal. Sometimes its better to stay out of the way than try to fill up too much space.

I completely agree.
Is it more than ironic that the clip with Dickey has a banner above it that says...
"May the FAX be with you"!

I think at about the 3 minute mark I started yelling in my living room. KICK THE PHUCKING **** TTT OUT OF IT!! Then again at the 4:50 mark, and so on and so forth...

Ahem...thank God I am home alone tonight.

Very upset I missed this. Tom, he defintely looks much better than when we saw him last year at BB's.

As for Duane, I was watching a show on PBS and it was a workshop with BB King where people were able to ask him questions and he had his band set up on stage, so he could show them how he plays stuff. He started talking about when you play an instrument, you should always play with people that are better than you. Some guy from the crowd actually took him up on it and asked if he could come up and blow the harp with BB. BB obliged and let the guy take the lead and the rest of the band fell in behind. It was actually very cool to see. With that in mind, perhaps this might be a good thing for Duane. Besides, they've brought in Andy Aledort who is pretty damn good. Is that a permanent or relatively permanent thing?

Lets hope so. They need to stick with this group and keep playing. That Beacon show showed me this band is ready to take off.
