hey y'all,

many of you know that we're doing it again, making this year's concert the 2nd annual sonj benefit concert. the boys plus susan's band will make this year a fantastic event.

and the venue is awesome. Richardson Auditorium in Princeton. nj is a 900 person hall that was built in the late 1800 and is one of the most interesting music specific venues i've ever been in.

so, here's the skinny:

we sell Gold circle tickets directly to fans. many of you have already snatched them up and 12 remain. while a little pricey at $125 per, they guaratee you a seat in the first three rows, access to the meet n greet with both bands, and a $50 tax deduction. PM me if interested.

the pre-sale will go thru dtb ticketing at musictoday.com/dtb. date is august 24th at 10 am. 150 tickets will be discounted to $35 dollars, including the orchestra seats. but they're sure to go fast since we sold 110 last year and that was without susan's fans.

the general onsale is 8/29 at 10 am and you can get them at www.jamforsonj.org, which iwll be updated in a couple of weeks.

lastly, please spread the word to all fans in the jersey, nyc and philly areas. stb/dtb will be playing there too, but 2 shows are better than one!

any questions or comments, or if you want to help spread the word, send me a PM. and if anyone wants to help flyer at the ABB shows at PNC and Tweeter, please join the fun.

okay, lastly for real this time. we're documenting the entire process this year on video. so we'll look for you in the parking lots and around the venue.

I'm unclear on the official Susan Tedeschi taping policy.

I have a bunch of her shows...but don't remember having seen tapers at the shows I've attended...

I'm not sure about that either... it's possible they may just ask people to not setup till after her set... thats assuming your not allowed to taper her's... that may even be at her record company's discretion

I believe Susan allows taping, but not electronic distribution.

we are going to limit the amount of tapers because it is such as small venue and we do not want to distract anyone with the rigs. if the rigs are small, bring 'em on!

any tapers should give me a PM. AntnyJam, we'd love to have you. if you want to buy tickets, let me know and we'll set you up right next to the sound board for your taping.

BB 201 and 202 are sweet!!!! it's second row center in the balcony, which is a great location. you'll be quite pleased.

go to google.com and click on images. search "richardson auditorium" and you'll see some pics and seating charts.

Anybody know why the tix are a little bit expensive?? I bought my tix for the berklee show for 55$ and thought it was a good price for two great bands but more than twice as much...??

Maybe because it's a benefit concert, with all the profits going to a worthy cause.

showe offering
Keep in mind three things:

1. For this area the $35 pre-sale tickets are damn cheap. If you compare Tweeter/Mansfield prices to PNC Holmdel, PNC is always more expensive.

2. You are seeing two mazing bnads in a very small venue. I may be wrong, but it appears than the richardson is a much more intimate venue than Berklee.

3. As Rob said, this is a charity benefit... and I think you will have a hard time finding a more worthly cuase. But still, I have NEVER heard of a charity show offering DISCOUNTED tickets to the fans.

I am not sure why you are griping- like we always say here, if the tickets are too pricey for you, don't go.

hey guys,

the tickets to the show that were $125 were very limited - just about 40 seats. the rest of the 850 seats are priced as follows:
premium orchestra $60
orchestra: $55
balcony: $45
obstructed: $25

if you check out other venues, these prices aren't much more expensive than there's. plus, this is much more intimate and benefiting special olympics nj.

hope this answers some questions and hope it doesn't deter anyone from coming.
