This may have already been threaded........

But lets make our suggestions of songs that we would like for the ABB to do on the up coming 2003 tour......of course the final decision is up to the band...and we are not being pushy....just suggesting.......

The "B.B. King Medley" is a great one that was mentioned today!!!

I would love to hear some real old stuff........."Morning Dew"

"Win Lose or Draw"

my idiot co-worker here suggested Butch singing "Ramblin Man" and I pimp slapped him a good one..

How bout you all...any certain song you care to hear again........

Of course..we will be happy with what we get......I'm sure

Kenny

TRUE GRAVITY!!! The ultimate song from the Warren/Dickey era, and a great vehicle for Oteil and Derek as well. I would also really like to hear Les Brers in A Minor come back.

Just to save time for the other people who are going to suggest them: Wasted Words and Can't Lose What You Never Had. And I might like Oh Pretty Woman.

For years now, I've wanted a Win, Lose or Draw...

All good suggestions so far...

I'd love to hear them dust off "It Ain't Over Yet", "Leavin'" and "Just Ain't Easy", but that'll never happen...

I also want to hear a slew of newer songs, and I'm confident we will...

Loan Me A Dime. They played that at Riverbend a couple of years ago. It was the high point of the evening for me.

ODR,I'm an ER fan too- we would seem to be a small group according to my research....Would love to hear Derek and Warren rip through Try It One More Time and they could get Marc a set of those little finger cymbals and a triangle for the perc.parts.All the other suggestions from ER are fine as well.

Rob: I'm w/you on Les Briers, but my soul's in NMCTB. Its gritty, hard, blues--can't get it out of my head, although I know its been done a lot. For a faster groove, LMBAH.

How about an extended version of One More Ride. A very under-appreciated Instrumental IMO. I believe the recording on the Dreams box set is like two and a half minutes. Lets stretch that out a bit.

I'm really hoping they bust out Midnight Rider and Statesborough Blues this upcoming tour...they never play those two...

Actually, Kind of Bird would make me screach with joy after hearing the first couple of notes...

Outskirts of town is a real good call.

Morning Dew would be cool too - I think the ABB should cover the Dead more - as I've suggested before, the ABB is one of the only bands who can do so and be legitimate, as they've been down the road with the Dead from nearly day 1.

I'd take a nice True Gravity - Derek is real good on that one.

I think Gregg should dust off Get on With Your Life - one of the best post 1989 reunion, and probably ever for him.

Gregg and Duane actually did do The House of the Rising Sun back in 1965 when Gregg was just starting to sing more with The Escorts...and yes, they tore it up!

1. I agree Hop, a Ludlow version of SB with Derek playing that slide low and lonesome.

2. Outskirts of Town

3. A new, or old for that matter, Derek Trucks Band tune! Where would Going Down Slow fit in that category?! LOL

4. Just Ain't Easy

5. Never Knew How Much/So Long

Another vote for "Just Ain't Easy", one of Gregg's finest moments on record, imho. "Les Brers in A Minor" would be cool. An acoustic set with some of Gregg and Warren's more melodic solo stuff would be great.
