What are your memories, if any? I must admit Chester Thompson was a powerful addition to the live act.

There is also a version (UK I think) that has a fourth side live as well.

Yep, I have both in vinyl still but only the UK version on disc. I have some wonderful memories of sitting by San Diego Bay playing that lp very loudly watching the sunset. Youth was not wasted on me

Chester is amazing. The drum duets with Phil were great.

I like Daryl on guitar as well

Phil is much shorter in person .

The record was actually recorded on the ABACAB tour but the Duke material was great also.

The UK version is all 4 sides live.

It was the ABACAB tour. I saw this tour at the Forest hills tennis Stadium (the former US Tennis open site)in Queens NY. Scandel (the current Mrs. John McEnroe)opened.

Great show in an all time classic!!!!

I saw the first non Peter Gabriel tour at the Beacon and I have to admit that Phil did an admirable job of filling in on he vocals. The setlist was broad and encompassed a lot of current (trick of the tail) and older material. I remember White Mountain being this great trippy musical extravaganza.
Bill Bruford was on the other drum kit for that tour. I guess that was the Seconds Out tour.

Speaking of great live DUKE material. The live version of "Duke's Travels" > "Duke's End" that is now thankfully widely available on the ARCHIVE 2 box set, is incredible, in my opinion.

I just want to say that no matter what anyone thinks, Phil Collins is an amazing drummer. I also want to add how much I like how all of their live shows/albums are mixed so you can tell which drummer is playing at what point... Because both Phil & Bill and Phil & Chester have similar sounds/styles. Yes there are differences, but when you're casually listening, it could be easy to not notice that they have switch from drummer to drummer of from 1 drummer to 2 drummers or 2 drummers back to 1...

Dutch, yep, and than CT took over on 1 Jan 77...saw them at the Fabulous Fox in Mar 77, great view at 8th row. I just joined another remastering group that handles Genesis.....gotta say, some good stuff being worked on.

And, yes, I love when PC and CT work in tandem, playing the same patterns

Cheers
