I like Steely Dan. I went to see them with some girlfriends on my birthday either in I think 93 at the old Omni in Atlanta. I wasn't sure what to expect of SD live, but they were really good. I'd go see 'em again for sure. I'll check the dates.

Thanks.

I'm looking forward to the Steely Dan summer tour. I'm hoping I can catch the show in Charlotte. I've been waiting for years to see Steely Dan live.

rlrichie,

Am I that bad? You can be honest. Guess it might be helpful if I "tone down" my "WP" behavior when I'm over in the "anything goes" forum. Anyway, everything is cool, and I see that Steely Dan is playing in my neck of woods (Nissan Pavilion - 5 miles from house)

I was joking. I've gotten in trouble on forums in the past by doing exactly what you did. So I've sworn off correcting people's spelling and grammar, and pointing out the obvious, like how to google. God forbid anyone should think I'm arrogant or a smarta$$. I still like watching, though , so please, keep it up.

I'm very excited about the Steely Dan tour also. They'll be in Tampa on August 10. That's about a 2 hour drive for me. SD is one of the 3 or 4 artists left that I want to see live that I haven't caught yet, and are still alive (the other two that come to mind are Emmylou Harris and Van Morrison).

rlrichie,

A tour you might want to be on the look out for is Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. Apparently, the two have been working on a CD for quite some time, which just got release, and no I don't have the title, and they're going to be doing some touring together this summer. Sounds like it might be a good show. I know I would certainly go see those two together.

OMG, that sounds incredible! I looked it up , and unfortunately, they are coming nowhere near me, as it usually is. After Europe, the tour dates are
June 2006
19 - Toronto, Ontario - Molson Amphitheatre
21 - Washington, DC - Constitution Hall
22 - New York, NY - Radio City Music Hall
23 - Boston, MA - Bank of America Pavilion
25 - Chicago, IL - Charter One Pavilion
26 - Minneapolis, MN - Orpheum Theatre
28 - Universal City, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre
29 - Santa Barbara, CA - Santa Barbara Bowl
30 - Berkeley, CA - Greek Theatre

BUT, it says that their collaborative album, All the Roadrunning, was out April 24. I just happen to be going to the big city of Gainesville tomorrow, and I'll be sure to pick it up. I don't see how I could possibly be sorry. Thanks for the heads up.
