I'm on vacation today and avoiding yardwork at all costs. Anyone else want to add to this?....

1. Any or all of your PC related passwords involve your favorite band's name
2. You own a personalized license tag that features your favorite band name.
3.If someone asks you for your 10 favorite albums, they have to stop you when you get to 100.
4. You own copies of your favorite albums on LP, Pre-recorded Cassette, CD, and 8-track.
5. Whenever you see Roland's name mentioned here, your brain automatically adds "the Thompson Gunner" to it. (Sorry Roland... )

6. you meet somebody who enjoys music more than anyone else you've ever met, and you realize that you enjoy it more than them

7. You're at work or in a store where music is playing and a song comes on and nobody but you knows the name of it.

LP Sunburst, I don't have a perfect match, but I got these:
2. Randomly assigned license plate number starts with "JJ," which could be any one of several Jacksons: J.J., Janet, Jermaine.
Let's say it's for bebop trombonist J.J. Johnson.
4. True, except I never had 8-tracks.
5. Rowland's "w" saves him from that Warren Zevon song.
Not from "Rowland Tumblin'," though.

6. Linnie, I don't know which person would be the one "who enjoys music more than anyone else you've ever met"--unless you're claiming the title here!
No, you didn't enjoy Jack enough at Rosemont--sorry!

7. Dutch, or the opposite when you go into an electronics or clothing store, and they're playing junk you totally don't know.

My deal here is somewhat related to, somewhat opposite, Linnie's:

8. You get a few used albums at a thrift store,
and when you're listing your little haul for a not-very-close acquaintance you run into later that day, looking for a glimmer of recognition,
she asks, "So, you're getting into rock?"

You schedule your ''business'' travel around certain band's touring schedules, (2) you have been known to take lengthy road trips (sometimes alone) to see obscure bands in obscure places and can't understand why anyone would think that such behavior is anything less than normal, such as when you tell somebody ''Hey, it was a weekend, Buffalo's only a 10 hour round trip drive, and it was Dickey F_cking Betts, man.''

ok here is a few more:

your apartment/home/office is decorated soley in rock memoribillia, the majority of which no one but you can identify

you receive at least four music magazines a week

you have your music collection organized in a manner that makes sense to you, and only you

you spend more on concerts then you do on food in any given month

you constantlly need to explain that "Yes, i'm going to another show this weekend" to your co workers

You download/trade/vine for shows that you may never listen to, but you have to have to complete your Grateful Dead Spring 77 (or Spring 90, or Europe 72) runs

You buy the import versions of CD's that you already own just for the "not released in the US" B-sides

Your house has a "music room"

You tell your family that everthing you have is theirs EXCEPT for your music collection.

You get tatoo(s) of the band(s) you love. I got mine!

You spend more time uploading and burning shows than the time spent at work or with your family!

You have more cd's than baby pictures

By the way.... I have some Yonrico artwork and various ABB momentos for my music room that I am working on now!

1. When a work colleague starts talking to you about some suitably boring subject you can automatically bring it round to music and your C.D collection and the next gig you are attending.

2. You name one of your kids after a musician or their offspring.

3.You know musicians birthdays, and forget your families.

You have at least three different remastered CD versions of your favorite albums because they keep putting cool "unreleased stuff" at the end of them

Along those lines if you have a record, tape and cd of a recording (i.e. Fillmore East) and then by the enhanced digital sound version, the extended live version, the remastered and even buy them to put on your IPOD.

......... you are able to fall asleep to a Frank Zappa album

.......... when you are driving, you hear a song on the radio you like, arrive at your destination but sit in your car to hear the rest of the song.

.......... if you go to a record store and have to forcibly keep your hands in your pockets when you are broke.

......... you decide to become a professional musician

........... you decide to go to a music college that is 75% male.
