I have listened to a few WSP songs recently and I think they're great. I'm going to pick up Space Wrangler, but I'm looking for a live CD of theirs to get also. They have several, so could you guys suggest one that you think is their best?

I am a WSP latebloomer, but they are the 'shiznit'! Not an overnight success either. Been doing their thang for 10 or more years. Wish I would have known about them sooner. This site rocks.

Night of Joy has more typical WSP songs, but Jackassolantern has some cool covers, from one of their special Halloween shows. Look on Half.com to save some money on your purchases. You can also go to their website and download most of their shows. Look for the reviews to help you make your decision.

I have seen them live once, and hope to see them again. WSP does real high energy shows that get everyone on their feet. Someone made a great observation elsewhere on this board that this band together is greater than the sum of its parts. They don't have a Warren or Derek, but together as a band they are awesome.

I don't know how I missed them! It must have been while raising the kids, lol.....they weren't "mainstream" like Allmans etc. I will be seeing them live for the first time, this May. I can't wait!

i 2nd light fuse get away. it was all i listened to for a good while. the first 4 songs are wonderful on disc 1. in fact, disc 1 just plain rocks altogether. disc 2 not as good, but still nice.

i'm not a big fan of the space wrangler cd. it's their first and not representive of the band. if you're going to get a studio release, i suggest 'til the medicine takes. i think it's brilliant.

I enjoy Light Fuse Get Away and Live In The Classic City equally as much. Kicking it up a notch would be purchasing the DVD Live At Oak Mountain- it's very much worth it.
I have never seen the DVD Panic In The Streets which I'm assuming resembles the Ligt Fuse show...how is it?

Am very grateful to my buddy Phil for turning me on to these guys -- had known about them but he has shows galore & is a major fan -- definitely a real sweet band, came away more than just a bit impressed after seeing them in a few summers ago at the Hampton Beach Casino -- maybe one of the last times they played a venue that size.
Their live ones with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band smoke.
Thanks for the Mikey pics dbetts1.

If you're high speed and Bittorrent ready go to digitalpanic.org for WSP to your hearts delight.

Search PUBA while you're there.A dedicated server.

Right off the top of my head I'd recommend 12/31/98.Pure heat.Anything spring 97.

Man, I miss Mikey. He probably wouldn't make too many folks list of favorite players but mine and a few others - BUT he had something really special and unqiue about him and he was the perfect player for Panics psychedelic grooves. He certainly had a signature sound that was all his own...In a world of copy cat players Mike made a name for himself by playing guitar HIS way...I really miss him.

Light Fuse, Get Away
Night of Joy

I've heard nothing but good things about Another Joyus Occasion as well...I have yet to pick that one up though.

I have the panic in Streets CD (it also comes with a short "Live at the Georgia Theatre" CD as well) and it's really, really good. I don't have Light Fuse Get Away, but I just might have to pick that one up as well.

Panic at the Creek in 2 weeks!!
