I just started playing slide seriously now. I kept messing around with it at first but now I take it more seriously. So I purchased this book. ITS GREAT! Warren really goes into depth with playing slide and it answers all your questions. So, if your learning to play slide I would recommend this to you!

Most of it is standard tuning because that's what Warren uses. I use open e tuning and just figure out the tabs. Theres about 4 tabs in open E tuning and a couple of other tunings too.

My copy arrived on friday. I need to figure out which finger to use for the
slide. I have metal one, but it only fits on my pinkie. I ordered the dvd too
(both were from ebay). I'll let you know how the dvd is. I've only been
playing for about 9 months, so I'm still learning how to play with a pick!

I have a couple of Warren's instructional videos (they were the start of a whole new world for me). I don't remember the exact names though. Something to the effect of the Art of Improvisation and The Acoustic Slide. Is this book/cd/dvd you are talking about on of these?
