I'd be real curious to hear how long that 'Echoes' was. Half of Radio City must have been entranced or falling asleep....

23 AMAZING minutes. My fave of the night, along with Fat Old Sun. Folks seemed pretty into it from where I was sitting.

A guy I work with went both nights and came away completely sizzling -- describing the light show during echoes, he actually gort choked up and started to tear a little!

It sounds like it was awesome, he has seen Roger Waters a bunch and said this Gilmour show blew the Waters shows away. Rick Wright was in DG's band for this, BTW.

But this work buddy's reply when I was scoring my Beacon run tix was: "Aren't the Allman Brothers like an old jam band?"

I told him after he was freakin' on the DG show that I'd front him an ABB Beacon ticket next year satisfaction guaranteed.

Other than an ABB show this sounds about like the show of the year to me......too bad it's so limited. I'll not get to see it.

I was at Tuesdays RCMH show also and was also blown away. Echoes was off the charts, definitely the highlight of the evening for me. Guest spots by Crosby & Nash were also terrific. Couple of low spots during the first set, for me at least but overall a wonderful show. Light show at times was positively insane.

No . . . that is the main reason why he said he did not want to do another Floyd tour . . . because of all the paraphenalia that goes with it . . . this is just him with some friends playing music

Too bad Roger is not in the mix . However , who thought they would have reunited for Live 8 ? On an Island is awesome though . It's in heavy rotation for me now along with Songlines . I wish the tour would last longer than it is scheduled for .
